Observational STudy to Evaluate the EFfectiveness of OnLife® in Improving CIPN in Patients With...
CIPN in Adjuvant Colon Cancer PatientsCIPN in Adjuvant Breast Cancer PatientsThe objective of this observational study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the dietary supplementation "OnLife" in improving signs and symptoms of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in adult patients who have finished adjuvant oxaliplatin-containing regimen (colon cancer) or adjuvant paclitaxel regimen (breast cancer). Furthermore, patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and concomitant medication used for the treatment of neuropathic pain will be assessed.

Open Technique Interpectoral Catheter for Postoperative Analgesia in Modified Radical Mastectomy...
Mammary Cancerpatients undergoing modified radical mastectomy were divided into two groups. patients in catheter group were placed a catheter with open technique by the surgeon in the pectoral area. thirty minutes before extubation %1 lidocain 10 ml, %0.5 bupivacain 10 ml and 10 ml %0.9 sodium chloride were given through the catheter for postoperative analgesia. patients in iv analgesia group were given 100 mg tramadol iv 30 minutes before extubation. visual analog pain scale (VAS) scores, rescue analgesic requirement, complications were recorded and compared between two groups 1, 6, 12, 24 hours and 90 days after surgery.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Whole Body, Including Diffusion, in the Medical Evaluation of...
Metastatic BreastcancerWhole-body MRI including diffusion is a booming technique. Numerous studies have demonstrated its interest in metastatic cancers. Breast cancers, especially hormone-sensitive ones, are very osteophilic and bones are the most frequent metastatic site. Apart from morphological criteria (lesion size and RECIST criteria), MRI provides quantitative functional criteria (diffusion and ADC values). According to a recent study, whole body MRI is as good as PET/CT and more effective than bone scintigraphy for the diagnosis of bone metastases for cancers of breast and prostate with a high metastatic risk. Therefore, it seems appropriate to study the performance of whole body MRI in the pre-therapeutic assessment of breast cancer with a high risk for metastasis and the monitoring of metastatic breast cancer.
An Observational Study Evaluating the Productivity and Health-Related Quality of Life of People...
Breast NeoplasmsThe purpose of this study is to compare productivity (in terms of work or daily activity) and generic and disease-specific health-related quality of life of participants with HER2 positive early breast cancer currently receiving adjuvant treatment (with chemotherapy and/or targeted HER2 therapy), with participants who have completed adjuvant parenteral therapy, and participants with HER2 positive metastatic breast cancer.
Evaluating the Impact of Baduanjin Exercise Intervention on Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Survivors...
Breast Cancer Survivors Receiving Aromatase Inhibitor TherapyA 12-week randomized controlled trail was conducted in 72 Chinese breast cancer survivors who had received aromatase inhibitors treatment for more than 6 months. All participants were assigned to either 12 weeks of Baduanjin classes which involved to two 90-minute sessions per week or a wait-list control. Participants completed fitness assessments, measurements of lipopolysaccharide-stimulated production of proinflammatory cytokines interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1β(IL-1β) ,C-reactive protein (CRP) ,BMI,BMD and questionnaires to measure QoL, fatigue, sleep quality, Aromatase Inhibitor-Induced Arthralgia, symptoms of climacteric syndrome were completed at baseline and 3 months.
LOL: It's All Improv After Cancer! The Impact of Improvisational Comedy on Well-Being Among Patients...
DistressBreast Neoplasms1 moreManaging distress and improving well-being is critically important for optimal survivorship care. Treatment of distress leads to better adherence to treatment, better communication, fewer calls and visits to the oncologist's office, and avoidance of development of severe anxiety or depression. Based on national guidelines, distress is typically managed with pharmacologic options (i.e. benzodiazepines), support groups, individual counseling, or chaplaincy services. To our knowledge, the role of a structured improvisational comedy (improv) program in reducing distress and improving well-being has never been evaluated in the oncology setting.
Study of the Impact of Everolimus Treatment on Lymphocytes NK (Natural Killer) Development and Functions...
Breast CancerNK (Natural Killer) cells are important in the fight against tumor, especially for the control of cancer metastasis. The purpose of this prospective study is to evaluate the impact on lymphocytes NK functions and development of an everolimus treatment in women treated for a metastatic breast cancer. In particular, the study of lymphocytes NK functions and development under everolimus treatment could permit to validate an early biomarker of the impact of everolimus on these NK cells.
