This study was planned to investigate the effect of the training given to breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy with pecha kucha method on posttraumatic growth and psychological resilience.

Cryotherapy is a cold ablation technique used in many tumor locations. The destruction of tissues by cryoablation preserves proteins and in particular anti-tumor antigens, which could induce the stimulation of an immune response. Compared to other interventional radiology techniques, cryotherapy induces a higher immunogenic response. Studies describe complex responses with elevated levels of activating NK cells, circulating and anti-tumor T cells, and pro-inflammatory and NF-KB dependent cytokines. In breast cancer, whether or not an immune response is triggered depends on the type of cryoablation used. Indeed, high intensity cryoablation (rapid freezing in one cycle of the entire tumor volume) seems to induce a tumor-specific immunodestructive response, whereas low frequency cryoablation (several small repetitive cycles until a sufficient volume of ice is obtained) does not induce an immunogenic response and can even induce an immunoregulation with immunotolerance of the tumor cells The University Hospital of Nîmes has recently acquired a new liquid nitrogen cryotherapy technique, more powerful than the one classically performed with Argon. This technique is used for palliative and analgesic purposes in patients with metastatic breast cancer presenting painful subcutaneous metastases. The aim of this study is to evaluate in these patients the changes in the tumor microenvironment and the immune response potentially induced by this very high intensity cryotherapy. The study investigators hypothesize that locoregional treatment with liquid nitrogen cryotherapy of subcutaneous breast cancer metastases will allow a systemic response through the induction of an immune response. A better understanding of the type of immune response induced will allow the development of combined therapeutic strategies with curative and not only palliative and analgesic aims.

For breast cancer patients undergoing adjuvant radiotherapy, radiation dermatitis (RD) is a common occurrence that can negatively impact patients' quality of life (QOL). RD often presents as erythema, pruritus, and/or edema and in more severe cases, skin breakage can occur, resulting in moist desquamation. StrataXRT is a silicone-based film-forming topical gel. Recent studies have shown the benefits of StrataXRT, but with mixed results. A recent randomized controlled trial published in 2022 found that in breast cancer patients (n=100), the use of StrataXRT significantly reduced the mean size of the radiation-induced dermatitis area (p=0.002) when compared to the control group. Additionally, another study (n=49) demonstrated significant differences in the Erythema Index (EI) (p=0.001) and Melanin Index (MI) (p=0.005) between StrataXRT compared to the use of Xderm, a moisturizer cream. To validate the finding of the previous studies a pilot study testing the efficacy of StrataXRT has been proposed. In this study, 50 patients will use Strata XRT on their breast/chest wall during radiation treatment. Their skin will be assessed throughout and post-treatment. Investigators hypothesize the severity of skin reactions will be less for patients using Strata XRT when compared to historical data from our centre.

This trial studies the effect of a geriatric care survivorship intervention in improving the overall health of older adults who have completed curative treatment for stage I-III breast cancer. Geriatric assessment is the complete examination of an elderly individual, which includes a full valuation of the physical and mental conditions, as well as a check of emotional state. Geriatric assessment and survivorship visits after treatment may reduce health burdens and improve the well-being and quality of life of elderly patients with breast cancer. Researchers hope to improve the overall health of older adults who have undergone curative treatment for stage I-III breast cancer.

Hope plays a crucial role in the treatment process, as it is associated with positive outcomes and serves as a protective mechanism against stress and disease. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an intervention that can reduce stress and depression in cancer patients. It involves cultivating awareness of the present moment and has positive effects on quality of life. Investigating the impact of MBSR on psychological distress and hope in women undergoing radiotherapy for breast cancer is important for providing effective support during treatment. The aim of this study is to: Examine the effect of the Mindfulness-Based Stress reduction intervention on psychological distress and hope among female patients undergoing radiotherapy for breast cancer. RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS Female patients undergoing radiotherapy for breast cancer who attend Mindfulness-Based Stress reduction intervention sessions exhibit higher levels of hope and lower levels of psychological distress compared to those who receive conventional hospital treatment.

The purpose of this study is to compare two hypnotic interventions for Black women with advanced cancer pain in preparation for a well-powered phase III study. The investigators plan to enroll 30 adult Black women with advanced cancer pain in a 2-arm pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT). The primary aim will be to evaluate the feasibility of conducting the 2-arm clinical trial. It is hypothesized that at least 75% of participants in both study arms will complete study requirements. The secondary aims will be to evaluate the participant's experience with the intervention and to determine the effect size of the intervention on pain severity.

Mobile phones have become an essential tool for everyday life. The convenience and easy accessibility of the data and information received through mobile phones have made mobile applications as the latest trend to provide education for patients in medical centers. In Taiwan, breast cancer incidence has been the highest among all cancers and the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in women. Women with breast cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy suffer from a number of symptoms throughout the chemotherapy treatment that detrimentally affects their quality of life. Thus, providing social support and nursing care aids for these vulnerable women is imperative to help them face their breast cancer challenges. This study will develop a Mobile device application providing medical care information and social support for breast cancer women during their chemotherapy treatment to help them receive individually tailored information related to chemotherapy and support from healthcare professionals and peers. This study will use a mixed-methods design to develop a Mobile device application based on breast cancer literature and the clinical experiences of breast cancer patients to fulfill the needs women may experience during the chemotherapy treatment. Women with breast cancer will be invited to help refine the Mobile device application's content based on their experiences and feedback about the mobile application. Upon completing the mobile application development, women with breast cancer patients will be recruited to participate in a randomized controlled trial to examine the effectiveness of the mobile application. The results of this study will provide a foundation to deliver a remote, personalized, and continuous health care model to improve the self-efficacy, social support, and quality of life of women with breast cancer, and ultimately enhancing the overall quality of care and patient satisfaction with the medical care participants receive.
