What is Optimal Post-operative Prophylactic Therapy in Irradiated Breasts Undergoing Repeat Surgery...

This study will look at whether females who have previously had breast surgery and radiation and are undergoing repeat breast surgery require any post operative interventions. The reason the investigators are conducting this study is because females who have undergone breast radiation are at higher risk of wound complications following breast surgery. The investigators will randomize recruited female participants into three arms, one which is post operative antibiotics for one week, one which is a wound VAC, and one which is no intervention. The investigators goal is to identify whether these patients will require any postoperative interventions.

The majority of patients (pts) with breast cancer have hormone receptor positive (HR+) disease, and this holds true for pts with advanced breast cancer (ABC). Currently frontline therapy for pts with HR+ ABC is antihormonal therapy with an aromatase inhibitor or selective estrogen receptor degrader plus a CDK4/6i. The proposed trial is a randomized study to further evaluate the potential benefit of switching a frontline regimen at the time that a molecular signal, ctDNA, suggests progression prior to detection of clinical progression using standard methods. The purpose of this study is to determine whether switching treatment earlier in the disease process, based on molecular progression, will increase the amount of time that a patient's metastatic breast cancer is controlled compared to patients with metastatic breast cancer who receive treatment later based on diagnostic imaging results or other methods currently used in medical practice.

The purpose of this phase 1b, single arm, multicenter, open label, dose finding study is to estimate the RD of [177Lu]Lu-NeoB in combination with ribociclib and fulvestrant in adult female participants with ER+, HER2-, GRPR+, advanced or metastatic breast cancer who have relapsed during or within 12 months from completion of prior (neo)adjuvant ET (escalation part). Additionally this study aims to characterize the safety and tolerability of [177Lu]Lu-NeoB in combination with ribociclib and fulvestrant in post-menopausal participants and in combination with ribociclib, fulvestrant and goserelin in pre/peri-menopausal participants (expansion part) in the same indications.

This is a Phase III, randomized, double-blind, parallel, multi-center trail to evaluate the efficacy and safety of TQB3616 capsule combined with endocrine compared to placebo compared with endocrine in HR-positive and HER2-negative breast cancer adjuvant therapy. Approximately 1946 female subjects will be randomized to either TQB3616 combined with endocrine group or TQB3616-matching placebo combined endocrine group. Randomization will follow a 2:1 ratio, 1297 subjects in experimental group and 649 in the the Placebo Comparator group.

The goal of this randomized, pragmatic clinical trial is to evaluate the omission of granulocyte colony-stimulating factors (G-CSF) in breast cancer patients receiving paclitaxel portion of dose-dense adriamycin-cyclophosphamide and paclitaxel (DD-AC/T) chemotherapy. Participants will be randomized to either take G-CSF while on the paclitaxel portion of DD-AC/T chemotherapy or to omit G-CSF while on the paclitaxel portion of DD-AC/T chemotherapy.

Background: In postmenopausal women, an alteration in body composition occurs as a consequence of the secretion of low levels of serum estrogens by the ovaries. Observing an increase in abdominal and mammary fat mass and a decrease in skeletal muscle mass, which is also accompanied by loss of muscle strength and physical function, which leads early to a sarcopenia. On the other hand, the increase in estrogen production by adipose tissue has been associated with an increased risk of breast cancer during menopause because the mammary parenchyma is particularly sensitive to this type of estrogen. For this reason, Hormone Therapy (Aromatase Inhibitors and Tamoxifen) is prescribed in women with estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer. Antineoplastic treatments (Chemotherapy and Hormonal Therapy) have contributed to non-metastatic breast cancer currently presenting a high survival rate, not without adverse effects associated with the course of the disease, age and antineoplastic treatment, affecting various systems, but particularly skeletal muscle mass. Therefore, resistance exercise training has been proposed as an effective intervention strategy to increase muscle mass and strength in different populations. However, the level of muscle response to this type of training in postmenopausal women survivors of breast cancer with and without hormone treatment (Aromatase Inhibitors and Tamoxifen) is unknown.
