This phase II trial studies how well donor cytotoxic T lymphocytes work in treating patients with malignancies with BK and/or JC virus. Cytotoxic T lymphocytes are made from donated blood cells that are grown in the laboratory and are designed to kill viruses that can cause infections in transplant patients and may be an effective treatment in patients with malignancies with BK and/or JC virus.

The I-MAT trial is a randomised, placebo-controlled, phase II trial of adjuvant Avelumab in patients with stage I-III Merkel cell carcinoma aiming to explore the efficacy of avelumab as adjuvant immunotherapy.

Immunotherapy may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving plinabulin in combination with radiation therapy and immunotherapy may work better in treating advanced cancers.

This is an open-label, historically controlled pilot study investigating the immune effect of Laser Interstitial ThermotHerapy (LITT)+ pembrolizumab in adult patients with a primary cancer approved by the FDA for treatment with an immune-checkpoint inhibitor who have recurrent brain metastasis after prior stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).

Based on the overwhelming positive response to this survey and the large number of patients being treated with PD-1/PD-L1 therapy in the UPMC system, the investigators are proposing a trial that will randomize patients who have disease stability to stop treatment at 1 year or continue treatment until disease progression.
