Fludarabine Phosphate, Melphalan, Total-Body Irradiation, Donor Stem Cell Transplant in Treating...
Accelerated Phase Chronic Myelogenous LeukemiaAcute Myeloid Leukemia With Multilineage Dysplasia Following Myelodysplastic Syndrome100 moreThis clinical trial is studying how well giving fludarabine phosphate and melphalan together with total-body irradiation followed by donor stem cell transplant works in treating patients with hematologic cancer or bone marrow failure disorders. Giving low doses of chemotherapy and total-body irradiation before a donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cancer cells or abnormal cells. It may also stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune cells and help destroy any remaining cancer or abnormal cells (graft-versus-tumor effect)
Liposomal Cytarabine and High-Dose Methotrexate in Treating Patients With Central Nervous System...
Central Nervous System MetastasesLeptomeningeal Metastases3 moreThis phase II trial studies how well giving liposomal cytarabine and high-dose methotrexate works in treating patients with breast cancer that has spread to the central nervous system. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as liposomal cytarabine and methotrexate, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving liposomal cytarabine with high-dose methotrexate may kill more tumor cells.
Maintenance Vitamin D Therapy for Secondary Hyperparathyroidism (2HPT)
Secondary HyperparathyroidismThere are still no established protocols for maintenance therapy with intravenous or oral vitamin D preparations after the iPTH target has been achieved. Therefore, the present study compared the efficacy of two maintenance therapy protocols, i.e., oral administration of alfacalcidol (an oral vitamin D preparation) at a dose of 1.0 ug/day (higher-dose group) or at a dose of 0.25 ug/day (lower-dose group), in patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism who responded to initial maxacalcitol therapy, resulting in the control of iPTH to < 150 pg/mL.
Comparison of I.V. CTAP201 and Doxercalciferol (Hectorol) in Subjects With Chronic Kidney Disease...
Chronic Kidney DiseaseSecondary Hyperparathyroidism2 moreThis study will compare CTAP201 with Doxercalciferol in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT), undergoing regular hemodialysis, at different dose strengths. This study will also investigate the levels of CTAP201 in the body over time and determine the safety of CTAP201.
Study of Intravenous Aflibercept in Combination With FOLFIRI in Japanese Patients With Metastatic...
Colorectal NeoplasmsNeoplasm MetastasisThe primary objective is to determine the dose of aflibercept to be further studied in combination with irinotecan/5-fluorouracil/isovorin (FOLFIRI) in Japanese patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Secondary objectives of this study are to assess the safety profile of aflibercept, to determine the pharmacokinetics of aflibercept, to make a preliminary assessment of antitumor effects.
Vitamin D Deficiency in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Patients
Secondary HyperparathyroidismChronic Kidney DiseaseThis is an open label, single center, randomized, active comparator controlled study, comparing the effects of vitamin D replacement using oral ergocalciferol versus paricalcitol on parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels in patients with stage 3 and 4 CKD and vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency. The purpose of this study is to determine which of these two approaches is more successful.
Whole Brain Radiotherapy With or Without Temozolomide at Daily Fixed-dose for Brain Metastases Treatment...
Brain NeoplasmsRATIONALE Fractionated radiotherapy uses high-energy photons to kill, or damage tumor cells. High daily dose temozolomide combined with fractionated radiotherapy may make tumor cells more sensible to treatment. PURPOSE This randomized phase II trial, assess in patients with brain metastases from solid tumors, whether the whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) plus temozolomide is able to improve the results obtained with WBRT.
Study of Adecatumumab Relative to FOLFOX After R0 Resection of Colorectal Liver Metastases
Liver MetastasesColorectal CancerThe purpose of this study is to determine the effect of adecatumumab alone or following FOLFOX in patients with R0 resected liver metastases from CRC (colorectal carcinoma) and to compare the effect to FOLFOX alone.
Bortezomib and Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Younger Patients With Recurrent, Refractory,...
Adult Acute Monoblastic Leukemia (M5a)Adult Acute Monocytic Leukemia (M5b)20 moreThis phase II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of bortezomib and to see how well it works when given together with combination chemotherapy in treating younger patients with recurrent, refractory, or secondary acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as idarubicin, cytarabine, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) together with bortezomib may kill more cancer cells
A Safety And Efficacy Study Of The Combination Of Oral PF-00299804 And Intravenous CP-751,871 Given...
CarcinomaNon-Small Cell1 moreThis study will explore the combination of the oral drug PF-00299804 and intravenous CP-751,871 in patients with advanced solid tumor. Each of these drugs have been given separately to patients in prior studies, and this study is to establish the safety and efficacy of the combination.
