The goal of this prospective, non-randomized, single-arm, phase 2 study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this treatment using this ExAblate conformal system in the treatment of pain resulting from metastatic bone tumors Up to Fifty (50) patients will be recruited in this feasibility study. The treated patients will be followed for 3-Months post their last treatment, patients with the standard contraindications to MRI examination, such as implanted metal devices (pacemakers, etc.), will be excluded.

RATIONALE Fractionated radiotherapy uses high-energy photons to kill, or damage tumor cells. High daily dose temozolomide combined with fractionated radiotherapy may make tumor cells more sensible to treatment. PURPOSE This randomized phase II trial, assess in patients with brain metastases from solid tumors, whether the whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) plus temozolomide is able to improve the results obtained with WBRT.

This study will explore the combination of the oral drug PF-00299804 and intravenous CP-751,871 in patients with advanced solid tumor. Each of these drugs have been given separately to patients in prior studies, and this study is to establish the safety and efficacy of the combination.

Randomized Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Cinacalcet Treatment in Combination with Low Dose Vitamin D for the Treatment of Subjects with Secondary Hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) Recently Initiating Hemodialysis

This study will compare CTAP201 with Doxercalciferol in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT), undergoing regular hemodialysis, at different dose strengths. This study will also investigate the levels of CTAP201 in the body over time and determine the safety of CTAP201.

There are still no established protocols for maintenance therapy with intravenous or oral vitamin D preparations after the iPTH target has been achieved. Therefore, the present study compared the efficacy of two maintenance therapy protocols, i.e., oral administration of alfacalcidol (an oral vitamin D preparation) at a dose of 1.0 ug/day (higher-dose group) or at a dose of 0.25 ug/day (lower-dose group), in patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism who responded to initial maxacalcitol therapy, resulting in the control of iPTH to < 150 pg/mL.

This phase II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of bortezomib and to see how well it works when given together with combination chemotherapy in treating younger patients with recurrent, refractory, or secondary acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
