Breast NeoplasmsBreast Diseases2 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine whether BNP7787 is effective in preventing or reducing neurotoxicity (nerve damage) caused by paclitaxel (Taxol®).
Open-label Trial on the Effect of I.V. Zoledronic Acid 4 mg on Bone Density in Hormone Sensitive...
Prostate CancerThe purpose of this trial with Zometa is to investigate the effect ZOMETA 4 mg (zoledronic acid for injection in 100mg solution ) has in preventing associated bone loss in prostate cancer patients with bone metastasis when administered in conjunction with hormonal cancer therapy. This trial will seek to determine the effect of ZOMETA in stabilizing and increasing bone mineral density in these patients. This prospective, open-label, single arm, multicenter study will enroll approximately 200 prostate cancer patients with a history of at least one documented bone lesion documented by bone scan or radiograph. Patients must already be receiving hormone therapy and meet the following additional criteria: 18 years of age or older Histologically confirmed diagnoses of prostate cancer Confirmed objective evidence of metastatic bone disease as evidenced by bone scan or radiograph Received or will receive hormonal treatment also know as androgen deprivation therapy with an LHRH agonist or other hormonal treatments Throughout the course of this 12-month trial, patients will be identified based on the duration of established hormonal treatment at the time of enrollment. Each patients duration of participation will be up to 56 weeks including a 4 week screening, 48 week treatment and a 4 week follow up.
A Trial of Doxorubicin/Cyclophosphamide (AC), Docetaxel (D), and Alternating AC and D for Metastatic...
Breast CancerNeoplasm MetastasisTo investigate the clinical benefits of Docetaxel or alternating AC-Docetaxel in comparison with standard AC for metastatic breast cancer
Helical Tomotherapy as a Radiotherapy Technique for Treating Bone Metastases
Bone NeoplasmsTo assess the safety and efficacy of a single fraction of radiotherapy using helical tomotherapy to treat bone metastases.
Radiofrequency Ablation of Lung Tumors
Lung CancerMetastasisRadiofrequency ablation has achieved impressive results in the treatment of unresectable primary and metastatic liver cancer. Animal studies have demonstrated that radiofrequency can fully ablate lung tumors in animal models. We set up a prospective study to evaluate the local efficacy of radiofrequency ablation of lung neoplasms. The aim of the study is to prospectively evaluate local efficacy with a minimal follow-up of one year, tolerance, lung disease-free survival and survival after radiofrequency ablation of lung tumors (primary lung cancer or lung metastases).

Neuroendocrine TumorsPlacebo-controlled prospective randomized phase III study to investigate the antiproliferative effect of octreotide in patients with metastasized neuroendocrine tumors of the midgut
A Study For Using Radiosurgery On Limited Metastases
NeoplasmsMetastaticThe standard therapy in cases such as yours is surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy or hormonal therapy alone or in combination. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate whether radiosurgery alone affects your quality and length of life. A second purpose of this study is to determine if the levels of special types of protein (called cytokines) found in the blood are related to your quality of life during your course of treatment and follow-up.

Colorectal CancerMetastatic CancerThe purpose of this study is to determine that panitumumab will have clinically meaningful anti-tumor activity in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer who have developed progressive disease or relapsed while on or after prior fluoropyrimidine, irinotecan and oxaliplatin chemotherapy.
Pemetrexed and Carboplatin in Locally Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer
Breast CancerNeoplasm MetastasisThis is a nonrandomized study of pemetrexed plus carboplatin, with the primary objective of determining the efficacy of the combination in tumor reduction, in patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging-guided Thermal Radiofrequencey Ablation of Primary Renal Cell Carcinoma,...
Kidney CancerMetastatic Cancer2 moreRATIONALE: Radiofrequency ablation uses high-frequency electric current to heat and kill tumor cells. Magnetic resonance imaging-guided radiofrequency ablation may an effective treatment for primary kidney cancer, liver metastases, or other solid tumors. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of magnetic-resonance-guided radiofrequency ablation in treating patients who have primary kidney cancer, liver metastases, or other solid tumors.
