Analyses of Human Samples Collected in Clinical Trials

LeukemiaMyeloid4 more

Cancer patients in clinical trials donate various human samples (e.g., serum, plasma, blood, urine, feces, bile, saliva) for research purposes. The purpose of this study is to conduct further analyses on these existing samples from clinical trials that are being performed outside of, but in collaboration with, the National Cancer Institute.

Molecular Mechanism of Trophinin in Cancer Invasion and Metastasis

Lung Cancer

Our study established a model combine the in silico biology and empirical methods to identify clinically useful biomarker from information of microarray gene expression profiles in public domain. Through this method, we found trophinin as a novel prognostic marker for early stage lung cancer, which provide insight towards the process of cancer metastasis and the potential target for treatment.

Predictive Value of Dynamic Contrast Enhancement MRI on a Cerebral Tumor Response to Gamma Knife...

Cerebral Metastases

Hypothesis: the pattern of MRI contrast enhancement after gadolinium injection is different in tumors that respond well to gamma knife. We are going to acquire sequential T1-weighted images of brain lesions before, during and after injection of Gd-DTPA. This will be repeated before and after a treatment with gamma knife. We will then analyse our results to see if there are common enhancement characteristics between lesions that will respond well to the radiosurgery treatment. Response will be clinically assessed by tumor volume as determined by MRI approximately 4 to 6 months after treatment.

Treatment of Malignant Glaucoma by Anterior Vitrectomy From Two Different Approaches

Glaucoma Secondary

To compare the surgical outcomes of treating phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation combined with goniosynechialysis (Phaco-IOL-GSL) associated malignant glaucoma (MG), using different incision sites in anterior vitrectomy combined with hyaloidotomy, zonulectomy, and iridectomy (VHZI).

Genomic Study in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Brain Metastasis

NSCLC Stage IVBrain Metastases

The investigators collected the data from the investigators' center between January 2011 and October 2020. The study included all non-small cell lung cancer patients with surgically excised brain metastasis. The investigators analysis the correlation of gene mutation and the disease course.

Radiographic Evaluation of Secondary Alveolar Bone Grafting in Patients With Alveolar Cleft

Alveolar Cleft

Study about the comparison of post-operative results of secondary alveolar grafts according to two age groups: early secondary (4 to 7 years) versus late secondary (8 to 11 years) using a recently proposed score based on post-operative 3D CT analysis. Comparison of the initial results of the graft in the two groups, with a reference 2D score and evaluation of the concordance between the results found with this score and those of the 3D score. Finally, comparison of graft bone densities and nasal floor level (using 3D visualization) on post-operative TDMs in the 2 groups. The aim of this study is to determine the optimal age for grafting using three-dimensional CT assessment.
