Onabotulinum Dose Comparison in Chronic Migraine Superior to 100 Units?

Chronic MigraineHeadache

The study will enroll patients through the Neurology Department at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD). Eligible participants will meet criteria for chronic migraine, but will not be excluded based on the presence of significant comorbidities. Participants with comorbidities and medication regimens commonly exhibited within real-world DOD medical settings will not be excluded, such as pain disorders, psychiatric illness, medication overuse, and those who have used prophylactic medication during the baseline period. This will comprise "Group A". A carefully screened group will comprise "Group B" and meet exclusion criteria designed to approximate that of the PREEMPT2 trial. Within each group, half of the patients (155U Arm) will be randomly selected to receive the standard 155U over 31 fixed sites every 12 weeks while the other half (100U Arm) will receive 100U over 19 fixed sites every 12 weeks. Minimum sample size for the entire cohort is 132 participants (maximum n = 180), with a minimum of 66 participants per comparison.

Statin/Vitamin D & Migraine Study

Migraine

The investigators are studying if taking simvastatin and vitamin D together will help prevent episodic migraines. Simvastatin is an FDA approved drug that is typically used to treat high cholesterol and reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack. Vitamin D is a vitamin found in certain foods like some types of fish, and in nutritional supplements. This study is 9 months long. Some people who participate will receive simvastatin and vitamin D, and some people will receive a placebo. A placebo is a "sugar pill" that looks like medication but does not have any active ingredients in it. The investigators hypothesize that taking vitamin D and simvastatin daily may reduce the number of migraines people who have episodic migraine get.

A Study With Lu AG09222 in Adults With Migraine Who Have Not Been Helped by Prior Preventive Treatments...

Migraine

Researchers are trying to learn whether a drug called Lu AG09222 can help prevent migraine headaches for people who have not been helped by other treatments that are used to prevent migraines. People who join this trial have tried 2 to 4 other medications to prevent their migraines, but these medications have not helped them. When the trial is over, researchers will use this information to find out if the number of migraine days decreased more for the participants who got either dose of Lu AG09222 than for the participants who got the placebo.

Status Migrainosus - Differentiating Between Responders and Non-responders

Migraine

The main goal of this study is to determine whether it is possible - in the setup of routine clinical care - to identify in individual patients who are clear responders to drug X, common denominators that are absent in individual patients who are non-responders to the same drug, and vice versa. All currently available knowledge about migraine pathophysiology will be utilized, using as much time as is needed to ask as many questions as are necessary, in an attempt to profile clear responders and clear non-responders.
