Migraine DisordersThis is a population internet-based study to characterize migraine clinical course and impact on family.
The Utility of Telemedicine in the Management of Migraine
Migraine HeadachesPatients will be randomly assigned to receive their follow-up care via telemedicine or in-office visits.
An Observational Study of BOTOX® as Headache Prophylaxis for Chronic Migraine
Migraine DisordersThis is an observational study to describe the long term use of Onabotulinumtoxin A (BOTOX®) as prescribed by the physician for headache prophylaxis in adults with chronic migraine. All treatment decisions lie with the physician.
Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs Alone or With a Triptan and Reports of Transition From Episodic...
Migraine DisordersChronic Migraine (CM), or 15 or more migraine headaches per month, is common in tertiary headache care and is associated with a number of deleterious outcomes, especially higher disability and poorer quality of life, relative to those with Episodic Migraine (EM) defined as 14 or fewer migraine headaches per month. Limited work has begun to examine factors that increase or decrease the risk of developing CM. One factor that appears especially relevant is symptomatic medication use. The current study builds upon and expands previous work considering the influence non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and/or triptan use has on the likelihood of developing CM. This study is a retrospective observational cohort study of data collected via mail survey and collated in the American Migraine Prevalence and Prevention (AMPP) database. Survey results from the AMPP study will be analyzed retrospectively. The AMPP is a longitudinal, population-based, mailed-questionnaire survey. In 2004, 120,000 United States (US) households were screened and 24,000 individuals who reported severe headaches were identified and additional questionnaires have been administered annually. This analysis uses data from respondents who meet second edition of the International Headache Classification-2 (IHCD-2) criteria for EM in 2005 with follow up results in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. EM is defined as 1 to 14 headaches per month and CM is defined as 15 or more headaches per month.
Oxygenation and Perfusion in Patients With Acute Migraine Attacks
MigraineMigraine With Aura1 moreThe aim of the study is to retrospectively evaluate brain perfusion and oxygenation in acute migraine attacks. Magnetic resonance perfusion and susceptibility weighted imaging are the technics to measure perfusion and oxygenation respectively.
Using the S100B Protein for Emergency Headache Management Care (S100)
HeadacheMigraine1 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine the negative predictive value of protein S100B that could exclude subarachnoid and intracranial haemorrhage for patient that present severe headache within the last 3 hours.
Migraine in Electrohypersensitive Patients
HeadacheMigraineThe investigators propose here by the use of the French version of the migraine disease screening questionnaire (ID Migraine ™) to study the prevalence of migraine disease in a population of electrohypersensitive patients
Effects of the Visual Stimulation on the Motor and Visual Cortex in Migraneurs With and Without...
Migraine DisordersThe aim of this study is to investigate the motor and visual cortex excitability in response to visual stimulation of migraineurs with and without aura compared to healthy individuals. For this purpose, electrical cortical activity of migraineurs will be compared to healthy volunteers.
Evaluation of Use of Brain Activity Monitoring for Prediction of Migraine Attacks
MigraineThis study evaluates the use of brain activity monitoring for prediction of migraine attacks in an expected time scale of 12-48 hours prior to the migraine attack.
The Migraine and Pain Study GeneBank at Scripps Clinic Registry (MAPS)
Migraine DiseaseThe objective of this study is to obtain blood or saliva samples to define genes for migraine and pain diseases.
