A Study of Gastric Delay in Migraine Patients (3207-003)
Migraine DisordersA study to assess safety and PK of an investigational drug in migraine patients during and between migraine attacks.
Migraine--Investigational Treatment of Migraine With Noninvasive Brain Stimulation. (tDCS- Migraine)...
MigraineThe purpose of this study is to determine whether a painless and noninvasive procedure called Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) can be an effective therapy for the treatment of migraine and migraine-associated pain. Stimulation of the motor cortex with tDCS has already been shown to relieve pain in patients with other chronic pain syndromes, including traumatic spinal cord injury and fibromyalgia. Patients with migraine are usually extremely sensitive to pain. A treatment that targets the areas of the brain that are related to the experience of pain may also help decrease pain in patients with migraine. Pain control with this localized approach may help avoid the problems due to pain medications that affect all organs in the body. We hypothesize that 10 sessions of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) applied over the area of the brain that controls pain and motor function will decrease pain and headache frequency in patients with migraine.
Study to Test Rizatriptan in the Early Treatment of Acute Migraine (0462-081)
MigraineThe purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of rizatriptan benzoate in the early treatment of an acute migraine attack.
Drug Study in Pediatric Subjects With Migraines (MK0462-083 AM1)
Migraine DisordersA study to assess the safety, tolerability, and single dose pharmacokinetics of a marketed drug in pediatric subjects with migraines. After completion of a portion of the study (Panels A and B), a regulatory agency issued an amended request that the 12-17 year old age group studied should include a similar number of male and female subjects. Therefore, the study was amended to add an additional panel of subjects (Panel C) to ensure gender balance specifically in this age group.
Staccato Prochlorperazine Single Dose PK Study
MigraineThe objective of this study was to evaluate the tolerability, safety, and pharmacokinetics of inhaled prochlorperazine
The Effect of Nasal Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in the Treatment of Mild Headache in People Who Experience...
MigraineThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effect of nasal carbon dioxide in the treatment of mild headaches in people who have migraines.
Phase I Open Label Single-Dose Study to Compare the Pharmacokinetics of NP101 Healthy Volunteers...
Migraine DisordersThe primary objective is to compare the pharmacokinetics (PK) profiles among five NP101 patches in healthy volunteers. The secondary objective is to evaluate the safety of NP101 in healthy volunteers.
Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation for Migraine Attack
Acute MigraineThis study is conducted to investigate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) over the primary motor cortex of patients with acute migraine attack.
Efficacy of Behavioral Insomnia Treatment for Chronic Migraine
Chronic MigraineInsomniaThe purpose of this study is to test the efficacy of a brief behavioral insomnia intervention in reducing headache frequency and severity among patients with chronic migraine and insomnia. It is hypothesized that this intervention will produce greater changes in headache frequency and severity than will a comparison treatment involving non-sleep-specific general lifestyle modifications.
An Open-labeled Trial of Ramipril in Patients With Migraine
Migraine With HypertensionPhysiology of migraine involving renin-angiotensin systems (RAS) has been implicated. Ramipril is a broadly-used angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. The investigators attempt to test the efficacy of ramipril on the prophylaxis of migraine attacks.
