Hysteroscopy Assisted Suction Curettage for Early Pregnancy Loss
Retained Products of ConceptionIntrauterine AdhesionRetained products of conception (RPOC) and intrauterine adhesions (IUA) may occur following suction curettage for early miscarriage and cause secondary infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss and pregnancy complications. The aim of this study is to investigate whether adding hysteroscopy to suction curettage reduces the rates of RPOC and IUA.
First Trimester of Pregnancy: Impact of a History of Miscarriage on Women's Stress
PregnancyMiscarriage is the spontaneous termination of pregnancy before 22 weeks of amenorrhea. The most frequent complication of pregnancy, it represents 10 to 25% of pregnancies and affects one in four women. Miscarriage is considered by medical personnel to be common and trivial. however, for women, it is very often a traumatic event, a source of worry for futures pregnancies.
Pregnancy Loss Between 15 and 22 Weeks SA Within the Network of Perinatal Pérriodof Western Brittany...
Miscarriage in Second TrimesterThe etiologies and some risk factors for pregnancy loss in the 2nd trimester are described in the literature. However, there are some risk factors that are not studied. The PEGREP study is a retrospective observational case-control study whose main objective is to identify risk factors for pregnancy loss between 15 and 22 weeks. The patients included cases are women who had a pregnancy loss between 15 and 22 SA between 2010 and 2015 and who were listed during the mortality reviews of the perinatal network of Western Brittany. The patient witnesses gave birth at the end of a healthy child in one of the maternity of Western Brittany. Matching 1 case for 1 controls was done on the woman's age, parity and number of fetuses.
Internet-based Study of Fertility and Early Pregnancy (PEEPS)
FertilityInfertility3 moreThe purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of conducting an Internet-based prospective pregnancy study with preconception enrollment with women completing daily journals for up to 12 months while trying to conceive and weekly through pregnancy if it occurs.
Natural Procreative Technology Evaluation and Surveillance of Treatment for Infertility and Miscarriage...
Infertility and MiscarriageThis study involves research, and the purpose of this study is to evaluate live birth rates among couples who are treated by Natural procreative technology, (NPT) for infertility and miscarriage. Comparisons will be made to those declining NPT treatment, waiting for NPT treatment, receiving other treatment, or stopping treatment. The investigator seeks to document specific pregnancy rates for different factors such as age and type of infertility diagnosis. Investigators will also assess characteristics of environmental exposures that may be associated with infertility. Couples will be followed for up to three years, regardless of when they begin NPT treatment, or whether they continue treatment. Data from all couples will be useful for this study, regardless of their individual circumstances or actual treatment.
Unexplained Early Miscarriage : Role and Prevalence of Lower Genital Tract Infections
First Trimester AbortionThe study group included 910 women who attended Fayoum university hospital gynecology outpatient clinic for postabortive evaluation. The control group included 940 women attended outpatient clinic for any other procedure or complaint
Ultrasound Predictors of Early Pregnancy Failure in Patients With Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
Recurrent Pregnancy LossEarly Pregnancy Failureevaluation of the role of ultrasonographic parameters (mean gestational sac diameter, yolk sac diameter, crown rump length, embryonic heart rate and uterine artery Doppler) in predicting early pregnancy failure in patients with recurrent pregnancy loss
Maternal KIR and Fetal HLA-C Genes in Recurrent Miscarriages
Recurrent MiscarriagesFor implantation of developing conceptus, placental cells need to invade mother's uterus to access maternal blood supply in a control manner. We have found a combination of maternal immune genes (the KIR family) and fetal genes (HLA-C) strongly associated with pre-eclampsia where placenta does not implant adequately. The aim of this research is to investigate these two genes family in women suffering with recurrent miscarriages and find a possible link between them.
Molecular Associations With Reproductive Failure
Spontaneous AbortionsInfertilityThe overall hypothesis to be tested is: women with the molecular phenotype of highly skewed X chromosome inactivation are at increased risk of spontaneous abortion.
Infections and Pregnancy Loss: Correlation Between Abortion and Silent Infections.
Pregnancy LossCorrelation between the presence of intracellular viruses/bacteria and the incidence of miscarriage during the first trimester of pregnancy.
