Functional Recovery of Hospitalised Patients With COVID-19: The COREG Extension Study
Covid19Corona Virus Infection2 moreOlder adults and those with chronic underlying health conditions are the most susceptible to COVID-19 and its complications. Although there has been a rapid response to studying the effects of COVID-19 in the acute stages, little is known about recovery over the longer-term. Older adults who survive the diseases are at risk of developing persistent mobility limitations due to extensive bed rest during hospitalization. For older patients and those with underlying frailty recovering from COVID-19, this could rapidly lead to significant physical deconditioning and rapid declines in mobility. Understanding the trajectory of functional recovery of older hospitalised patients with COVID-19 in the short- and long-term is critical to improving patient outcomes and informing health and rehabilitative interventions for survivors.
Effect of Lyra Gait Training on the Mobility of Geriatric Rehabilitation Inpatients
Mobility LimitationMuscle WeaknessThis study evaluates the effect of the addition of gait training to physical therapy on the gait of geriatric rehabilitation inpatients. Half of the patients will receive gait training with a gait training machine and conventional physical therapy in combination, the other half of the patients will receive conventional physical therapy alone.

Mobility LimitationThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of CK-2127107 versus placebo on skeletal muscle fatigue assessed as change from baseline versus 14 days of treatment in sum of peak torque during isokinetic knee extensions. This study will also assess the effects of CK-2127107 on physical performance via a short physical performance battery (SPPB), stair-climb test and 6 minute walk test.

WalkingDifficultyThis study is a randomized trial of 100 older adults with mobility disability, who performed a similar brief daily, resistance training program. The investigators set out to answer the following question "Will a digital, brief daily exercise program be feasible, acceptable, and effective among older adults with walking limitations?" To answer that question, participants were assigned to an intervention or delayed-treatment control group. Intervention participants were assigned to complete two 30-second lower body exercises and two 30-second upper body exercises. Fitness tests were completed remotely three times during the 12-weeks (i.e., at baseline, week 6, week 12).

There is no exact correspondence between the symptoms described by the patients and the severity of the lesions, which makes clinical diagnosis difficult. It therefore seems important to improve the complementary examinations available to make the diagnosis more precise and to better study the effectiveness of the treatments implemented. The clinical examination and per-surgical findings of patients with deep pelvic endometriosis show a clear decrease in the mobility of the pelvic organs in relation to each other, but few studies have looked at this mobility, which could however have an implication in explaining the pathophysiology of the disease and the symptomatology of the patients, as well as in the detection of lesions preoperatively. The persistence of hypo-mobility could also help to understand treatment failures.

Mobility LimitationThis study is a usability design with qualitative and quantitative aspects. In one part, with patients, physical strain and designs facets will be investigated and in another part with physiotherapists, the therapeutic relevance and design features will be explored. For this reasons 13-15 elderly people have to play an exergame, during their game playing process, different measurements will be done. Additional 13-15 physiotherapists will also playing the exergame, they will be asked about their opinions about the game.
