The myotonometric assessment is becoming popular and important in athletic population. It is mentioned an alternate method than expensive methods, and it is easy and reliable assessment. Still there is not enough information of mechanical characteristics in athletic population and ankle mobility. Most clinicians or trainers can use this results and technique for enhancing performance, rehabilitation or prevention

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of - both constant as intermittent - local application of deep pressure on muscle activity and general relaxation in persons with hypertonia following stroke.

Sexuality is considered one of the pillars of quality of life, an integral part of the personality of each individual. Being a basic human being need, it cannot be separated from other aspects of life. For several centuries and until recently, sexuality was considered the "lower instincts" expression related only to the sexual act. Sex is associated with "reproduction" of the sexual energy. On the other hand, the exercise of sexuality includes various factors such as the building of the sensitivity between individuals like touch, dance, fantasy, look, etc. For a long time feminine sexuality was predominantly focused on procreation and has only recently been considered as an integral part of sexual and reproductive rights of women. Vaginismus is a female sexual dysfunction that affects the quality of sexual and psychosocial lives of women, influencing the quality of the couple's relationship. The scientific literature emphasizes the importance of the examination, diagnosis and physical therapy for this dysfunction, but until now there is no quantification or evaluation of the pelvic floor muscles for this group of women, which justifies the realization of this project.

The study aims to demonstrate the efficacy of the sensorimotor approach developed by A. Piron (taught to the patient in three sessions) regarding three parameters related to TMD: facial pain, functional incapacities and hypertonia. The subjects in the study are 18 to 77 years old and present the following conditions: a TMD disorder caused or aggravated by hypertonia and responsible for cervico-maxillo-facial pain and/or a functional incapacity in the last 30 days.

The purpose of this study to to compare the long-term effects of foam rolling in comparison to static stretching and a control group on hamstring flexibility. The investigators hypothesize that participants in the foam rolling and static stretching group will demonstrate increased flexibility to the control group, but will a difference will not be observed between the foam rolling and static stretching groups.

This makes it difficult to evaluate therapies that aim to reduce the effects of abnormal muscle tone. This research study will evaluate the feasibility of a clinician worn device to capture and quantify features of spasticity and dystonia.
