Predictors and Prognostic Factors of Myasthenia Gravis Outcome

Myasthenia GravisAutoimmune Diseases of the Nervous System14 more

This study aims to characterize the clinical features, frequency of different subgroups of MG, and identify predictors of treatment responsiveness among different subgroups of MG. The predictors are including primary outcome (percentage of changes in MG scales at baseline at time of enrollment and after 3 months) and secondary outcome (treatment-related adverse events). Also it aims to determine the frequency of patients with refractory MG. This information will be used to understand the trends and mechanisms of disease relapse, and optimal management strategies.

Sensitivity of Repetitive Nerve Stimulation Performed in the Evening vs in the Morning in Myasthenia...

Myasthenia Gravis

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is the autoimmune disorder affecting the neuromuscular junction, characterized by fatigue, which increases gradually through the day. The repetitive nerve stimulation (RNS) remains the key diagnostic test in MG, however its sensitivity, especially in ocular form of MG is not satisfactory. In this study, investigators want to assess the impact of the time of the day on the sensitivity of the RNS. We hypothesize the RNS performed in the evening may be more sensitive than in the morning.

Screening of Serum Exosomal miRNA as a Biomarker for Ocular Muscle Myasthenia Gravis

Myasthenia Gravis

Ocular muscle myasthenia gravis (Ocular Myasthenia Gravis, OMG) has a high incidence and is difficult to diagnose. It is very necessary to find specific diagnostic indicators for OMG. By collecting peripheral blood of OMG, systemic myasthenia gravis and healthy people, extract miRNAs derived from exosomes in the serum and perform high-throughput sequencing, then use bioinformatics analysis methods to screen specifically expressed miRNAs as biomarkers for OMG diagnosis .

The Impact of Myasthenia Gravis in the Real World

Myasthenia Gravis

An international, non-interventional, prospective, community recruited, longitudinal, lifestyle study which aims to collect Real-World Evidence (RWE) from people living with myasthenia gravis (MG) in order to map the disease's natural history, its burden on patients and their families, its treatment, as well as its medical, social and pharmacoeconomic impact.

The Risk of Falls Index for Patients With Neuromuscular Disorders

Inclusion Body MyositisMyotonic Dystrophy4 more

The combination of short quantitatively assessing muscular function and balance in combination with short clinical scores, can be a new valid approach to evaluate the patient risk of fall and help to create a quick checkup test to prescribe an appropriate assistive device. The primary goal of this project is to provide a short battery of clinical assessments used to determine risk of falling for patients with neuromuscular diseases (NMD) based on correlation between clinical assessments between two groups of NMD patients and scales used to assess risk of falling for patients.

Study of Myasthenic Crisis in China

Myasthenia GravisMyasthenic Crisis

This study is a multicenter, prospective, observational research. It will register the basic demographic information, medical history characteristics, clinical features, auxiliary examinations, treatment, outcomes of tracheal intubation/ventilator related events, and clinical outcomes of Myasthenic Crisis patients. The objectives including: Obtain epidemiological data of MC in China; Establish a standardized registration system for MC patients in China; Explore the epidemiology, clinical characteristics, serological characteristics, clinical characteristics of MC, predisposing and predictive factors, extubation process/time, weaning/extubation outcome and predictors of clinical outcome in Chinese MC patients.

Exploring Accessible Beauty for Individuals With Upper Extremity Deficits

StrokeIschemic14 more

The purpose of this study is to investigate the accessibility of beauty products for individuals with upper extremity disabilities. By examining various factors such as packaging design, product applicators, and ease of use, this research aims to identify barriers faced by individuals with upper extremity disabilities or visual deficits when using beauty products. The study seeks to provide insights and recommendations for improving the accessibility of beauty products, ultimately promoting inclusivity and enhancing the overall beauty experience for individuals with disabilities.
