Id and Rd Maintenance Regimens After Induction of Remission in Multiple Myeloma.

Newly Diagnosed Myeloma Patients, who achieved efficacy above VGPR (very good PR)after initial treatment were enrolled. Patients were then randomly assigned to Id and Rd groups for maintenance treatment. Therapeutic effectiveness will be reviewed monthly until intolerant side effect or disease progression appear . The follow-up period is approximately 2 years.

Multiple Myeloma

Multiple myeloma is the second most frequent hematologic malignancy, which incidence augmented between 1995 and 2018, with an annual mean variation of +0.6% to 1.1%. Although treatment improved in the last years, the patients' prognostic is associated with cytogenetic abnormalities. Oncological supportive care provides patients with a global perspective, in addition to specific medical treatment adapted to pathology and patient profile. It contributes to the improvement of quality of life of patients, throughout their care pathway regarding physical, psychological and social aspects, according to their specific needs as well as their caregivers'. The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of life at 6 months after multiple myeloma diagnosis in outpatients receiving paramedical consultations in oncological supportive care from the diagnosis versus outpatients receiving paramedical consultations in oncological supportive care after 6 months after diagnosis.

This phase II MATCH trial studies how well treatment that is directed by genetic testing works in patients with solid tumors or lymphomas that have progressed following at least one line of standard treatment or for which no agreed upon treatment approach exists. Genetic tests look at the unique genetic material (genes) of patients' tumor cells. Patients with genetic abnormalities (such as mutations, amplifications, or translocations) may benefit more from treatment which targets their tumor's particular genetic abnormality. Identifying these genetic abnormalities first may help doctors plan better treatment for patients with solid tumors, lymphomas, or multiple myeloma.

This is an Investigator-Initiated, phase 2, prospective, open-label study designed to be conducted in six hospitals in Greece. Eligible patients will initially receive an induction phase of six 28-day cycles of isatuximab in combination with bortezomib, cyclophosphamide, and dexamethasone (VCd), followed by a maintenance phase with isatuximab and lenalidomide until disease progression, death, unacceptable adverse events, lost to follow up, or consent withdrawal, whichever occurs first. The study will last for approximately 36 months (follow-up period), starting from the date of the first patient in, to the date of the last patient last visit. The primary objective is to assess the effect of induction treatment with isatuximab in combination with VCd on the renal function of newly diagnosed patients with multiple myeloma and severe renal impairment (RI). The secondary objectives are to evaluate the effect of isatuximab in combination with VCd, followed by lenalidomide maintenance on: Overall response rate, Progression-Free Survival, Time to Response, Duration of Response, Overall Survival, Minimal Residual Disease negativity rate, Safety
