Ischemic CardiomyopathyThe patients who undergo ICD(implantable cardioverter defibrillator) implantation for the primary prevention of sudden cardiac death with severe LV(left ventricle) dysfunction (ejection fraction ≤ 40%) by ICM(idiopathic cardiomyopathy). Indications for ICD implantation for primary prevention in accordance with 2016 revised Korean indication guideline on ICD implantation FU LVEF(Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction) ≤ 30% (at least 40 days post-myocardial infarction) FU LVEF 31~35%, NYHA(the New York Heart Association) class II, III (at least 40 days post-myocardial infarction) FU LVEF ≤ 40%, NSVT(non-sustained ventricular tachycardia) (Holter), inducible VF(ventricular flutter) or sustained VT(ventricular tachycardia) at electrophysiological study (at least 40 days post-myocardial infarction)
The Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute Takotsubo Registry & Proteomic Study
Takotsubo CardiomyopathyThe Cedars-Sinai SHI Takotsubo Registry and Proteomic Study is an observational registry that will collect retrospective and prospective demographic, clinical, hemodynamic, laboratory and other diagnostic parameters, therapy and outcome data from individuals who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria of Takotsubo Registry protocol. Subjects will also be invited to provide a blood sample utilizing a Mitra kit sent to their homes. Researchers from the Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center will analyze Registry data to identify Takotsubo phenotypes, improve diagnostic capabilities, better predict recurrence rates, and develop targeted Takotsubo treatments.
The Deep Phenotype of Lamin A/C Cardiomyopathy
Lamin A/C Gene MutationDilated Cardiomyopathy1 moreThis study seeks to discover clinically useful tests to improve the diagnosis of a rare and serious heart muscle disease caused by mutations in a gene called 'Lamin'. Patients born with lamin gene mutations have apparently healthy hearts initially, they begin experiencing symptoms in their twenties or thirties, and by age 45 the majority have undergone a heart transplant, experienced a major cardiac complication, or have died. Sudden heart rhythm abnormalities are a major cause of sudden death so earlier diagnosis can save lives by enabling timely treatment or implantation of specialised pacemakers (defibrillators). In clinical practice, diagnosis of lamin heart disease currently relies on the genetic test. Very little is known about the detailed imaging features of the hearts of patients with lamin heart disease although advanced echocardiography and cardiac MRI now offer the opportunity to study the health of the heart without the need for radiation.
Registry of Patients With Takotsubo Syndrome
Takotsubo CardiomyopathyBroken Heart Syndrome1 moreTakotsubo syndrome is a condition which mimics acute myocardial infarction, and is diagnosed in 1.5% to 2.2% of patients referred to hospital with suspected acute coronary syndrome. It is also known as broken heart syndrome, takotsubo cardiomyopathy, stress cardiomyopathy and apical ballooning cardiomyopathy, among other names. The pathogenesis of this disorder is not well understood. Possible mechanisms include catecholamine excess, coronary artery spasm, microvascular dysfunction, among others. This is a multicenter, nation-wide, observational study of patients who were previously diagnosed with takotsubo syndrome. The investigators aim to use this registry to help plan and carry out further studies and to improve understanding of the pathophysiologic mechanisms of this syndrome. In addition participants will be followed for events, and to monitor quality of life and stress.
International T1 Multicenter Outcome Study
Heart FailureCardiomyopathies3 moreMapping of magnetic relaxation within the myocardial tissue using T1 (and T2) mapping using cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) are novel measures of quantifiable (scalable) myocardial tissue characterisation. Evidence suggests that myocardial mapping could be useful in detection of diffuse myocardial disease, complementing late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) as the tool for regional myocardial disease. A handful of studies, three single centre study of a single T1 index with outcomes and one multicentre study for all indices reported strong associations with all cause mortality and heart failure. These studies were based on a single-vendor platform and were using a single sequence. The main unknowns pertaining the successful translation of this technique and the transferability of the methodology beyond a single centre and lack of outcome evidence from broad and large populations. In this study, we will assess the diagnostic accuracy of T1 (and T2) mapping measurements in health and disease, and the prognostic relevance of T1 mapping measurements by associations with outcome. This study is builds upon/integrates the evidence of the NCT02407197 study, which remains active for follow-up, but is currently no longer recruiting.
Metabolic Characterization of Patients With Dilated Cardiomyopathy
DCM - Dilated CardiomyopathyHeart FailureThe overall aim of the study is to explore the energy metabolism of the failing heart. Primary objective is to understand the differences in the energy metabolism in patients with DCM and heart failure compared to matched controls without heart failure. Secondary objectives, is to understand if optimal medical therapy, including sodium-gucose transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i), alter the cardiac metabolism in DCM-patients. The investigators will also examine if changes in cardiac metabolism happens during exercise in patients with DCM. This will be done with invasive measurements of a range of energy substrate metabolites in the coronary sinus of the heart in patients with heart failure due to DCM and controls without heart failure respectively. A range of other clinical characteristics will also be examined to characterize patients and controls.

Natural History Study in Pediatric Patients With MYBPC3 Mutation-associated Cardiomyopathy
CardiomyopathyThe objective of this study is to collect information on patients with cardiomyopathy (CM) due to mutations in the MYBPC3 gene, to evaluate their disease course, burden of illness, risk factors for this disease, and the quality of life (QoL). This study will also collect information on treatments, procedures and outcome in infants and children up to 18 yrs who have this mutation.
