The objective of this study is to identify relevant signature gene networks of cardiovascular disease in endothelial cells derived from circulating endothelial progenitor cells of individuals with established cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Currently, Sonazoid is mainly used for imaging liver lesions by assessing perfusion characteristics. However, the ultrasound technology is the same as for cardiac imaging and the stability of the microbubbles will potentially aid the detection of myocardial perfusion defects. This study will look at the feasibility of using sonozoid in this way.

This retrospective study will investigate clinician behavior in diagnosing patients with possible obstructive coronary artery disease who received a Corus CAD (Age/Sex/Gene Expression score - ASGES) result compared to patients who did not have the test performed (matched control patients).

This study is a non-randomized prospective cohort study that will define the rate of index atherosclerotic plaque development in adults with a prior coronary artery calcium (CAC) score of 0 given prior CAC zero > 5 years previous. Ancillary testing of serum, whole blood, and endothelial dysfunction will be performed to investigate any detectable systemic processes that predict CAC development.

Hypothesis: there is a high prevalence rate of diabetes, including asymptomatic undiagnosed glucose intolerance, among subjects with coronary heart disease in Hong Kong. A cross-sectional survey is planned to study the rate of undiagnosed diabetes and glucose intolerance among the Chinese patients with coronary heart disease in Hong Kong. The survey results will be important for us to plan the logistics to investigate and manage the potential glucose abnormality of our heart disease patient.

African Americans with coronary artery disease who have been prescribed clopidogrel (also known as Plavix), an antiplatelet drug will be enrolled. The purpose of this study is to help identify why African Americans are at an increased risk of having a major heart attack or stroke after a common procedure to open up blocked arteries with stents. The knowledge to be gained from this study includes: A better understanding of the metabolism of the antiplatelet drug, clopidogrel, and abnormal platelet function in African Americans; this understanding may provide a basis for potential future therapy A better understanding of challenges to taking clopidogrel as prescribed by a doctor and opinions about a genetic test related to this medicine.

In this proposal, the investigators will demonstrate the feasibility and noninferiority of telerobotic ultrasonography as compared to traditional manual acquisition in performing a limited carotid Duplex examination and in carotid plaque detection.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate usefulness of coronary computed tomographic scan for prediction of clinical events after everolimus-eluting bioabsorbable scaffold implantation for coronary artery disease.

This long-term study will follow patients with known or suspected of having coronary artery disease (CAD) and have participated in present and future BMS747158 clinical studies. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term predictive value associated with BMS747158 Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (MPI).

The current study is designed to test the hypothesis that compared to conventional treatment; endothelial function-guided treatment reduces adverse cardiovascular events in patients with non-obstructive coronary artery disease documented at clinically indicated coronary angiography.
