The Model Building and Empirical Research of Eye Health Interventions for Children
MyopiaThe purpose of this study is to determine whether Eye Health Intervention can obviously reduce and delay myopia onset and development and improved the awareness rate of knowledge apparently .

Study of Myopia Acquisition and Prevention
MyopiaPurpose: To determine whether the use of reading glasses blocks the near work mediated increased incidence of myopia in healthy school children. Methods: SMART enrolled 115 emmetropic children (ages 7-9 years). The children were recruited in the Principality of Liechtenstein. They were randomly assigned to either the control group (n=52) or to receive reading glasses with a lens power of +2.0 dioptres (n=63). The primary outcome measure was progression towards myopia as determined by autorefraction after cycloplegia. The secondary outcome measure was change in biometry measurements of corneal curvature, axial length, anterior chamber depth, crystalline lens thickness, and vitreous chamber depth using partial coherence interferometry.

Multi Laser Platform Comparison Study for LASIK
MyopiaAstigmatismComparison of LASIK outcomes using 3 different lasers and a total of 5 different treatment platforms.

TGFB1 And LAMA1 Gene Polymorphisms in High Myopia
High MyopiaGene MutationsThe investigators aimed to investigate TGFB1 and LAMA1 gene polymorphisms in children with high myopia in order to determine the genetic basis of large myopic shifts causing severe visual impairment and complications. Seventy-four children with high myopia (≥6 diopters [D]; study group) and 77 emmetropic children (±0.5D; control group) were included. Genetic and polymorphism analyses were performed in the Medical Genetics Laboratory using DNA purified from the patients' blood samples.

MyopiaThe purpose of this study is to develop a school-based intervention aimed at prevent the onset and development of myopia among school aged children by increasing time spent outdoors in northeast China.

A Study to Evaluate the Product Feasibility of a New Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lens
MyopiaThe objective of this study is to determine the clinical feasibility and to evaluate the product performance of investigational contact lenses developed by Bausch + Lomb.

PiXL as a Treatment for Low Grade Myopia
MyopiaRefractive ErrorsTo assess the improvement in myopia with phototherapeutic intrastromal corneal collagen cross-linking (PiXL) without epithelial debridement (epi-on) in high oxygen environment for low grade myopia. The study compares two 3.5-mm central ring-shaped zone protocols; 10 min illumination time vs 16:40 min illumination time.

A Study to Evaluate the Product Performance of a New Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lens
MyopiaThe objective of this study is to evaluate the product performance of a new silicone hydrogel soft contact lens when worn by current soft contact lens wearers on a daily wear basis.

Vision Care Intervention for Lower Grade School Children in Taiwan
MyopiaOutdoor Activity1 moreThe purpose of this study is making use of school policy- recess outside classroom (ROC7-11) for increasing the time spent outdoor during recess and encouraging children spent time outdoor up to 11 hours in each week to investigate the vision change, myopia onset and progression in these schoolchildren.

An Evaluation of Outcomes Following Wavefront Optimized or Wavefront Guided Lasik Procedure in Low...
MyopiaTo compare post-surgical outcomes in patients who have undergone Wavefront Guided LASIK (iLASIK platform) compared with patients who have undergone Wavefront Optimized LASIK (Wavelight Allegretto 400 Hz platform).
