The Role of Induction Chemotherapy for High-risk Locally Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma in the...
Nasopharyngeal NeoplasmsThe purpose of this study is to determine whether Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) combined inductive and concurrent chemotherapy with more intensive regimen (cisplatin and paclitaxel) is feasible and effective than current standard treatment for high-risk locally advanced NPC patients.
Nivolumab in Treating Patients With Recurrent and/or Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Cancer
Nasopharyngeal Nonkeratinizing CarcinomaRecurrent Nasopharynx Carcinoma5 moreThis phase II trial studies how well nivolumab works in treating patients with nasopharyngeal cancer that has returned after a period of improvement (recurrent) and/or has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic). Monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may block tumor growth in different ways by targeting certain cells.
Concurrent Nimotuzumab Versus Cisplatin With Radiotherapy for Locoregionally Advanced NPC
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaThe study is to evaluate whether concurrent nimotuzumab could decrease the severe acute treatment-related toxicities compared with concurrent chemoradiotherapy for locoregionally advanced NPC. Three hundreds and twenty patients will be recruited into this study.
Effect of Bevacizumab on Radiation-induced Brain Necrosis in Patients With Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma...
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaAdverse Effect of Radiation Therapy1 moreBevacizumab may have a better effect on brain necrosis caused by radiotherapy. This randomized trial aims to investigate whether bevacizumab may alleviate radiation-induced brain necrosis in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The effect will be compared with outcomes in patients receiving steroid therapy.
Study of Chemotherapy Combined With Nimotuzumab in Untreated Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma...
Stage IV Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaThis is an open-label, uncontrolled, multicenter phase II clinical trial. The purpose of this study is to evaluate acute toxicity and efficacy of cisplatin and 5-Fu combined with nimotuzumab in patients with untreated metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Anlotinib in Recurrent or Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Patients After Failure of no Less...
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaThe purpose of this single arm, phase Ⅱ clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Anlotinib Treatment in Patients With Recurrent or Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma after failure of no less than second-line chemotherapy or targeted therapy
Elimination of Adjuvant Chemotherapy for Selected Stage II and III Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Nasopharyngeal CancerThis study evaluates whether some patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma but with low risk of distant metastasis can be treated with only radiotherapy and concomitant chemotherapy but without additional adjuvant chemotherapy.
Effect of Oral Supplements on the Nutritional Status of Locally Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma...
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaMalnutrition is very common in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) patients undergoing current chemoradiotherapy (CRT) due to dysphagia, mucositis, nausea and other treatment-related problems. Malnutrition is associated with lower physical functioning, lower immune status, more severe (grade III/IV) late RT-induced toxicities, treatment interruption of chemo(radio)therapy, lower chemotherapy response rates, hospital readmission, impaired quality of life (QoL), and increased mortality. Although the international guidelines recommend early nutritional support in the presence of nutritional risk, the best type of nutritional intervention is still unclear. Individualized dietary counseling showed beneficial effects in nutritional intake, nutritional status and QoL in head and neck cancer patients undergoing RT or CRT-treatment; oral nutritional supplements (ONS) was most acceptable in Chinese NPC patients. Previous nutritional intervention trials in head-neck cancer patients have been conducted on small samples and did not clarify the role of oral nutritional supplements (ONS). Accordingly, although current guidelines recommend as grade A the use of ONS associated with dietary counseling for head-neck cancer patients undergoing RT, the efficacy of this nutritional intervention still needs to be evaluated in adequately sized and randomized clinical trials for Chinese NPC patients.
Nedaplatin in Treatment for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaTo evaluate the efficacy of induction chemotherapy with nedaplatin, docetaxel and 5-Fluorouracil followed by concurrent nedaplatin combined with radical radiotherapy in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) Axitinib
Recurrent or Metastatic NPCThis is an open-label, single arm, phase 2 clinical trial evaluating the activity and safety of single-agent axitinib in recurrent or metastatic NPC patients who failed at least one line of platinum based chemotherapy.
