Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy in Recurrent T1-2 Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Nasopharyngeal Cancer Recurrent

The hypothesis of the study is to address the efficacy and toxicity profile of aforementioned four modalities for rT1-2 NPC. Characters of the patients: list item one: 168 patients, median age 48 years (range 16-75 years) proven rT1-2 NPC were diagnosed list item two: Treated with four different irradiation modalities(3D-CRT,IMRT, BT , BT Combined 3D-CRT or IMRT). list item three: Median time to recurrence was 30 months (range 1-180months). The median follow-up time was 28 months (range, 4-135 months).

Celecoxib With or Without Eflornithine in Preventing Colorectal Cancer in Patients With Familial...

Colorectal CancerFamilial Adenomatous Polyposis

This randomized phase II trial studies how well giving celecoxib with or without eflornithine works in preventing colorectal cancer in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis. Chemoprevention is the use of certain drugs to keep cancer from forming. The use of celecoxib and eflornithine may keep cancer from forming in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis.

Adaptive Radiotherapy for Head and Neck Cancer

Head and Neck CancerParanasal Sinus Cancer5 more

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that adaptive radiotherapy (ART) in head and neck cancer patients are comparable to historical controls in head and neck patients undergoing standard intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) without ART.

Metagenomic Evaluation of the Gut Microbiome in Patients With Lynch Syndrome and Other Hereditary...

Lynch SyndromeHereditary Colonic Polyposis Syndromes

The purpose of this study is to understand the role bacteria that normally live in the colon may play in colorectal cancer risk, in addition to the hereditary risk to colorectal cancer. The investigators will collect stool specimens as well as additional colon biopsy specimens during the patient's scheduled colonoscopy procedure. The investigators will also collect a questionnaire about diet and lifestyle. The samples will be used to study the impact of diet on naturally-occurring oral and gut bacteria and their influences on human health including risk of cancer.

Erlotinib Hydrochloride in Reducing Duodenal Polyp Burden in Patients With Familial Adenomatous...

Attenuated Familial Adenomatous PolyposisFamilial Adenomatous Polyposis

This phase II trial studies the side effects of erlotinib hydrochloride and how well it works in reducing duodenal polyp burden in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis at risk of developing colon cancer. Erlotinib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

A Clinical Trial of COX and EGFR Inhibition in Familial Polyposis Patients

Adenomatous Polyposis Coli

The purpose of this study is to determine in a randomized, placebo-controlled, phase II trial if the combination of sulindac and erlotinib causes a significant regression of duodenal and colorectal adenomas in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) and attenuated FAP (AFAP) patients.
