Healing Potentiality Of Blood Clot ,S-PRF and A-PRF In Treatment Of Necrotic Mature Single Rooted...

Healing Potentiality After Regeneration Using Standard PRF and Advanced PRF in Mature Necrotic Single Teeth

Earlier, it was believed that successful regeneration cannot be achieved once tooth has become infected. However, recent studies suggest that regenerative endodontics may in fact be possible in teeth with pulpal necrosis and periapical pathology. The primary goal in regenerative procedure is to eliminate clinical symptoms and resolve apical periodontitis. The blood clot acts as a scaffold, and the growth factors inside recruit stem cells, most likely from periapical papilla. But unfortunately, the erythrocytes in the clot of the blood column undergo necrosis, affecting its properties so the blood column is augmented by the use of different types of scaffolds. Platelet-rich fibrin is classified into four types (Standard PRF, Injectable PRF, Advanced PRF and Concentrated Growth Factor CGF) according to speed and time of centrifuge with the overall aim to increase the number of platelets and leucocytes

Enthesitis Assessment Before and After Anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor Treatment in Spondyloarthritis...

SpondyloarthritisEnthesitis1 more

Biological therapies should be considered in patients with high disease activity despite nonsteroid antiinflammatory drug treatment. The first option among biological therapies is anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor (anti-TNF) drugs. In recent years, anti-TNF treatments have shown that clinical and ultrasonographic enthesitis may improve as well as disease activity, quality of life and acute phase reactants. In this prospective study, we aimed to evaluate the clinical and ultrasonographic evaluation of enthesitis and to determine its response to anti-TNF treatment in patients with SpA.In this prospective study, we aimed to evaluate the clinical and ultrasonographic evaluation of enthesitis and to determine its response to anti-TNF treatment in patients with SpA.

Nitrate Patch Use as Treatment of Knee AVN

NecrosisAvascular1 more

The pathogenesis of AVN includes a defective blood supply to the knee joint. Local nitrates induce peripheral vasodilation and may improve blood supply to the affected tissue. This study aims to test whether the use of a nicotine patch may accelerate the healing process from AVN of the knee.

FIT (Fast Infarction Treatment): Complete Revascularization During Primary Percutaneous Coronary...

Myocardial InfarctionIschemia3 more

Few reports described outcomes of complete compared with infarct related artery (IRA) only revascularization in patients with ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and multivessel coronary disease (CAD). The purpose of this study is to determine outcome (death, myocardial infarction, target vessel failure) of 180 consecutive patients with STEMI and multivessel CAD undergoing primary angioplasty. Before the first angioplasty patients are randomized to 2 different strategies: 1) culprit vessel angioplasty only, 2) staged revascularization.

Technical Performance Assessment of Tc-99m Tetrofosmin for Differentiation of Recurrence vs Radiation...

Glioma (Diagnosis)

This study aims to assess the technical performance of Tc-99m tetrofosmin SPECT as compared to F-18 FDG PET for the differentiation of radiation necrosis from glioma relapse and to obtain estimates of diagnostic accuracy for Tc-99m tetrofosmin SPECT and F-18 FDG PET in an intra-individual comparison.

18F-Fluciclovine PET to Distinguish Tumor Progression From Radiation Necrosis

Secondary Malignant Neoplasm of Brain and Cerebral Meninges

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether 18F-fluciclovine PET/CT of the brain, is able to distinguish radiation necrosis from tumor progression in cases where MRI is inconclusive. 18F-fluciclovine is an FDA approved radioactive diagnostic agent and is injected into the participant and then taken up by cancer cells, which can then be visualized with a PET/CT scan. 18F-fluciclovine is FDA approved for the detection of recurrent prostate cancer, but is still investigational for the purposes of this study.

Talar Avascular Necrosis: Surgical Angiogenesis vs. Core Decompression

Avascular Necrosis of Bone

The purpose of this study is to determine if surgical angiogenesis performed in talar avascular necrosis by free microvascular bone grafts from the femoral condyle is a superior technique compared to core decompression and nonvascularized osseous autografts.
