Through this method, we found trophinin as a novel prognostic marker for early stage lung cancer, which provide insight towards the process of cancer metastasis and the potential target for treatment.

Cerebral Metastases

Hypothesis: the pattern of MRI contrast enhancement after gadolinium injection is different in tumors that respond well to gamma knife. We are going to acquire sequential T1-weighted images of brain lesions before, during and after injection of Gd-DTPA. This will be repeated before and after a treatment with gamma knife. We will then analyse our results to see if there are common enhancement characteristics between lesions that will respond well to the radiosurgery treatment. Response will be clinically assessed by tumor volume as determined by MRI approximately 4 to 6 months after treatment.

The investigator developed this protocol to accurately assess lymph node response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in clinical stage N1 (cN1) breast cancer patients. Accuracy of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) alone and in combination with the removal of wire-localized-clip-marked nodes will be analyzed. New model to predict lymph node pathological complete remission (pCR) so as to safely avoid axillary lymph node dissection in cN1 breast cancer patients is sought for.

To compare the surgical outcomes of treating phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation combined with goniosynechialysis (Phaco-IOL-GSL) associated malignant glaucoma (MG), using different incision sites in anterior vitrectomy combined with hyaloidotomy, zonulectomy, and iridectomy (VHZI).
