BRCA and NACT in TNBC Patients
Triple-Negative Breast CancerThe goal of this observational study is to evaluate data from patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in order to better define the impact of germline BRCA1/2 (gBRCA1/2) mutation status on outcomes in this patient population. The aims of the study are: To evaluate the rate of pathologic complete response (pCR) in patients with locally advanced TNBC who performed NACT, in relation to the mutational status of gBRCA. To evaluate Evaluate Event Free survival (EFS) and Overall Survival (OS) in this patients population.
Randomized and Multicenter Study to Evaluate a Customizable Support Breast Cancer Material
Breast CancerKnowledge4 moreThe goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate if a customizable support material allows to improve the knowledge about the stage and subtype of the disease, as well as the indicated treatments, in comparison with a non-customizable support material among patients with breast cancer. The main question it aims to answer is: • What is the impact of delivering a customizable support material so that patients with breast cancer know and remember the stage and subtype of their disease, as well as the indicated treatments, compared to non-customizable support material? Participants in the intervention group will be provided customizable support material while those in the standard group will receive a non-customizable material.
Atezolizumab With Nab-paclitaxel for Patients With Triple-negative Stage IV Breast Cancer
Breast Cancer MetastaticThe study will evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of the association of Atezolizumab plus nabPaclitaxel in a real life context, in order to document any differences both in terms of activity and safety with respect to the knowledge of the association reported in the literature
OA for Breast Cancer NAC Response
Breast CancerThis is an early research and development study. The objective of this study is to determine the feasibility of the Imagio OA/US Breast Imaging System to detect complete breast cancer pathologic response to neoadjuvant therapy as assessed by functional optoacoustic features, vascular features and relative degrees of oxygenation/deoxygenation
Real World Study on the Efficacy and Safety of Anti-HER2 Therapy
Breast NeoplasmsHER2-positive Breast CancerAnti HER2 therapy can improve the survival of HER2 positive patients and reduce mortality. The aim of the open-label, real-world study is to assess efficacy and safety of Anti-HER2 treatment drugs.
Exploring the Role of Serum Methylmalonic Acid (MMA) in Breast Cancer
Breast CancerThis project aims to investigate the role of MMA in breast cancer. To this end, we will measure MMA on serum samples collected at the time of breast cancer diagnosis, to investigate the role of MMA in predicting long-term recurrence risk, response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and its association with age and clinical frailty.
Innovative "Scoring System" in Breast Cancer Post Neoadiuvant Chemotherapy
Early Breast CancerOur aim is to create a Scoring System (SS) able of guaranteeing radical oncology by completely removing cancer and aesthetic outcomes in line with the needs or expectations of the patients that helps surgeons to decide the type of surgery in patients undergoing NACT. Secondary outcome is to assess the ability of the score to avoid neoplastic relapses by evaluating: Loco-regional disease free-survival (LR-DFS): months between start of NACT and date of a neoplastic recurrence in residual mammary gland, in ipsilateral chest wall or in ipsilateral axilla. Distant disease-free survival (DDFS): months between start of NACT and date of onset of visceral or skeletal metastases. Overall survival (OS): months from the start of NACT to death or last follow-up.
Evaluation of Home Program and Telerehabilitation for the Treatment Process in Patients With Breast...
Breast Cancer Related LymphedemaTelerehabilitationDuring the Covid-19 pandemic, rehabilitation services for all patients were affected, and a term that was previously in use but gained popularity during the pandemic entered our vocabulary: 'Telerehabilitation'. The purpose of our study is to evaluate the treatment process and adherence of patients undergoing telerehabilitation.
Frequency Domain Optical Imaging
Breast CancerThis purpose of this clinical study to develop and test technology associated with near infrared (NIR) optical tomography of the breast (the use of light at NIR wavelengths to image the breast) as an adjunct to mammography and breast MRI.
Association of Hepatitis C Virus With Breast Cancer
Breast CancerHepatitis CHepatitis C viral infection is a major health problem in Egypt. The management of breast cancer patients is often complicated by the presence of associated HCV infection. This study aims at investigating the epidemiological association of the two conditions. It will also investigate the possible correlation with treatment outcome.
