Phase II Study of Oxaliplatine-Paclitaxel in Patients With Metastatic Germ Cell Tumor Refractory...
NeoplasmsGerm Cell and EmbryonalTo evaluate the efficacy of the oxaliplatin-paclitaxel combination i.e. evaluation of tumor response rate using World Health Organization/Union Internationale Contre le Cancer (WHO/UICC) and Indianapolis tumor marker (human chorionic gonadotropin [hCG], alpha fetoprotein [AFP]) criteria in metastatic germ cell cancer patients
Phase II Trial of the Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitor PD 0332991 in Patients With Cancer
Adult Solid TumorAdenocarcinoma of the Colon37 moreRATIONALE: PD 0332991 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well PD 0332991 works in treating patients with refractory solid tumors.
Study of Oxaliplatin Plus Bevacizumab in Germ Cell Tumor Patients
NeoplasmsGerm Cell and EmbryonalThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of oxaliplatin and bevacizumab in patients with refractory or relapsed germ cell tumors.
Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Young Patients With Recurrent or Resistant Malignant Germ Cell...
Childhood Extracranial Germ Cell TumorChildhood Extragonadal Malignant Germ Cell Tumor14 moreThis phase II trial is studying how well giving combination chemotherapy works in treating young patients with recurrent or resistant malignant germ cell tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, ifosfamide, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more tumor cells.
Combination Chemotherapy and Pegfilgrastim in Treating Men With Metastatic Germ Cell Tumors
Extragonadal Germ Cell TumorTeratoma1 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as bleomycin, etoposide, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Colony-stimulating factors, such as pegfilgrastim, may increase the number of immune cells found in bone marrow or peripheral blood and may help the immune system recover from the side effects of chemotherapy. Giving combination chemotherapy together with pegfilgrastim may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well giving combination chemotherapy together with pegfilgrastim works in treating men with metastatic germ cell tumors.
Adavosertib and Irinotecan Hydrochloride in Treating Younger Patients With Relapsed or Refractory...
Central Nervous System Embryonal Tumor With Rhabdoid FeaturesCentral Nervous System Embryonal Tumor15 moreThis phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of adavosertib and irinotecan hydrochloride in treating younger patients with solid tumors that have come back (relapsed) or that have not responded to standard therapy (refractory). Adavosertib and irinotecan hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
Bleomycin, Etoposide, and Cisplatin in Treating Patients With Metastatic Germ Cell Cancer of the...
Drug/Agent Toxicity by Tissue/OrganTesticular Germ Cell TumorRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as bleomycin, etoposide, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which schedule of bleomycin is more effective when given together with etoposide and cisplatin in treating metastatic germ cell cancer of the testicles. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying two different schedules of bleomycin to compare how well they work when given together with etoposide and cisplatin in treating patients with metastatic germ cell cancer of the testicles.
Lapatinib and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors
Bladder CancerBrain and Central Nervous System Tumors7 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Lapatinib may help paclitaxel work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug. Lapatinib may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving lapatinib together with paclitaxel may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of lapatinib when given together with paclitaxel in treating patients with advanced solid tumors.
Sunitinib in Treating Young Patients With Refractory Solid Tumors
Central Nervous System MetastasesChildhood Central Nervous System Choriocarcinoma9 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of sunitinib in treating young patients with refractory solid tumors. Sunitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for their growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
Darbepoetin Alfa in Patients With "Poor Prognosis" Germ Cell Tumor Treated With High-Dose Chemotherapy...
DysgerminomaThe aim is to determine the frequency of RBC transfusion in patients with metastatic "poor prognosis" germ cell tumor during high-dose chemotherapy (HD-VIP, level 6) with or without Darbepoetin alfa
