Stage II Prostate AdenocarcinomaStage III Prostate Adenocarcinoma1 more

This phase II trial studies how well gallium Ga 68-labeled gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) antagonist BAY86-7548 (68Ga-RM2) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) works in detecting regional nodal and distant metastases in patients with intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer. 68Ga-RM2 PET/CT scan may be able to see smaller tumors than the standard of care CT or magnetic resonance imaging scan.

EDRN Prostate MRI Biomarker Study

PSAProstate Cancer

The commercialization of MRI fusion biopsies has resulted in a dramatic increase in the use of MRI imaging for prostate cancer. How best to use MRI in the initial prostate biopsy setting given the availability of validated prostate cancer early detection markers is uncertain. This study will allow investigators to determine if prostate MRI is superior to validated panel of laboratory biomarkers (e.g. PCA3, PSA and TMPRSS2:ERG) in the initial biopsy setting.

Evaluation of Sleep Quality in Prostate Cancer Patients Undergoing Treatment With Hormonal Therapeutic...

Prostate CancerBreast Cancer

This study will use polysomnography, alongside other methodologies such as questionnaires, actigraphic measurements and salivary melatonin samples used in previous studies to investigate sleep quality in patients with i) localized, locally advanced or metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer or ii) with full-resected early (stage I-III) epithelial breast cancer. The measurements will be taken before androgen deprivation therapy (ADT - for prostate cancer patients) or endocrine therapy (for breast cancer patients) is initiated, at 6 months and some measures again at 12 months. The groups, defined by cancer type and whether or not treatment includes ADT / endocrine therapy, will be compared to see if there are differences in the prevalence of the lowered sleep quality in the groups.

STHLM3 AS NorDCaP - a Followup Study of Men on Active Surveillance of Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer

The aim of the STHLM3 AS NorDCaP study is to evaluate the Stockholm3 test in an active surveillance cohort to predict upgrading on rebiopsy. The study follows a paired design, evaluating our proposed protocol for follow up men on active surveillance with Stockholm3 versus the standard protocol according to national guidelines with PSA.

Immuno-molecular Approaches for Non-invasive Diagnosis of Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer

The purpose of this study is to isolate and characterize tumor cells non-invasively from biological samples in patients with prostate cancer and demonstrate the ability to identify the presence and number of tumor cells before prostate biopsy.

Multi-modality Prostate Cancer Image Guided Interventions

Prostate Cancer

This is a non-randomized, prospective trial of men who are scheduled for radical prostatectomy for treatment of prostate cancer, or repeat biopsy for localized prostate cancer as standard of care and who will undergo a series of pre-operative multi-modality imaging studies. Post intervention, hybrid imaging maps (HIM) will be generated and the predictions of the HIM (3D location, volume and grade of cancer) will be correlated with actual pathology results to gauge the performance of the HIM in both radical prostatectomy and biopsy settings.

Onco-Genomas Brasil: Mapping Breast and Prostate Cancer in the Brazilian Public Health System

Breast CancerProstate Cancer

This project aims to perform complete sequencing of the somatic (tumor) and germline exomes during clinical investigation of cancer patients treated through the Brazilian Unified Health System to generate genomic and phenotypic data for the Brazilian Ministry of Health's National Precision Genomics and Health Program, called Genomas Brasil, as well as to collect data on the population's ancestry.
