
SRS Study in Patients With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Lung CancerThe goal of this clinical research study is to learn if stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) can help to control NSCLC. The safety of SBRT will also be studied. Objectives: To assess therapeutic efficacy and toxicities of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for patients with medically inoperable stage I (T1-2, N0,M0), selective stage II (chest wall T3, N0M0) or isolated peripheral lung recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Primary goal: Improve 2 years progression free survival at the treated primary tumor site. Secondary goals: Improve disease free survival, disease specific survival and overall survival at 2 years. Decrease grade 3 and above acute and/or chronic toxicities. Collect blood for future biomarkers study

Lung CancerRATIONALE: Erlotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab also may stop the growth of non-small cell lung cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving erlotinib together with bevacizumab may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving erlotinib together with bevacizumab works in treating patients with stage IIIB or stage IV primary non-small cell lung cancer who have never smoked.

This may be an effective treatment for central nervous system cancer or leptomeningeal metastases. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well iodine I 131 monoclonal antibody 3F8 works in treating patients with central nervous system cancer or leptomeningeal cancer.

ZD6474 (ZACTIMA™) Phase III Study in EGFR Failures
Non-Small-Cell Lung CarcinomaThis study is being carried out to assess if adding ZD6474 to best supportive care (BSC) is more effective than best supportive care alone, for the treatment of patients with non-small cell lung cancer, whose disease has recurred after previous chemotherapy and an Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (EGFR TKI). ZD6474 is a new anti-cancer drug in development that works in a different way to standard chemotherapy drugs. It targets the growth of new blood vessels to a tumour and thereby might slow the rate at which the tumour may grow. Early studies indicate that ZD6474 has a positive effect on the time that a tumour may take to progress to a further stage. Approximately 930 patients will take part in this study. It will be conducted in hospitals and clinics in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Lung CancerRATIONALE: Pemetrexed disodium may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving pemetrexed disodium together with gemcitabine may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying two different schedules of pemetrexed disodium and gemcitabine to compare how well they work in treating patients with stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.
