Randomized Study of Customized Adjuvant Chemotherapy based on BRCA1 mRNA Levels in Completely Resected stages II-IIIA Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer Patients.

This is a randomized, double-blind, Phase II, placebo-controlled trial adding on to a background of effective treatment designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of PRO95780 combined with paclitaxel + carboplatin + bevacizumab therapy in patients with previously untreated Stage IIIB, Stage IV, or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Approximately 120 patients will be randomized to one of two treatment arms.

The purpose of this trial is to assess how well the combination of pemetrexed with cisplatin can reduce tumor size.

LY2603618 is a selective inhibitor of the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) damage checkpoint kinase 1 (CHK1). It was being developed as a chemotherapeutic-enhancing agent in the treatment of cancer.
