SUPR-3D: Simple Unplanned Palliative Radiotherapy Versus 3D Conformal Radiotherapy for Patients...

Neoplasm MetastasisNeoplastic Processes2 more

The primary objective is to patient-reported Quality of Life related to complete control of Radiation Induced Nausea and Vomiting (RINV) between standard palliative radiotherapy and VMAT. Secondarily, we will assess rate of complete control of RINV. However, the investigators hypothesize that there will be no difference in pain response between the two arms, because they are receiving the same dose.

Fractionated Radiosurgery for Painful Spinal Metastases

Neoplasm MetastasisNeoplastic Processes5 more

It is the study hypothesis that hypo-fractionated image-guided radiosurgery significantly improves pain relief compared to historic data of conventionally fractionated radiotherapy. Primary endpoint is pain response 3 months after radiosurgery, which is defined as pain reduction of ≥2 points at the treated vertebral site on the 0 to 10 Visual Analogue Scale. 60 patients will be included into this II trial.

Study of Everolimus in the Treatment of Advanced Malignancies in Patients With Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome...

Peutz-Jeghers SyndromeNeoplastic Processes1 more

In this pilot study the investigators will treat all patients known with Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) who are diagnosed with advanced malignancies with everolimus 10mg daily until disease progression. Most patients with PJS have an inherited LKB1 mutation leading to aberrant m-TOR activity. Their risk to develop malignancies or intestinal polyps is probably related to this constitutive mTOR signaling. The hypothesis is that mTOR inhibition is an effective anticancer treatment in PJS patients with advanced malignancies.
