VEGFA-targeting Gene Therapy to Treat Retinal and Choroidal Neovascularization Diseases

Neovascular Age-related Macular DegenerationDiabetic Macular Edema1 more

Patients who respond to anti-VEGF therapy but with refractory retinal and choroidal neovascularization diseases including neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), and retinal vein occlusion-Macular edema (RVO-ME).

KDR2-2 Suspension Eyedrop in the Treatment of Neovascular Glaucoma (KDR-NVG) Trial

Neovascular GlaucomaNeovascularization

The clinical trial is aimed to evaluate the anti-neovascular effect of KDR2-2 suspension eyedrop in the treatment of neovascular glaucoma. Fourty subjects would receive either 0.96 or 3.84 mg/per day/eye, in a QID fashion, ×7 days (those without complications can continue to 28 days). The anti-neovascular effect of KDR2-2 on iris neovascularization would be evaluated at day 1, day 7, day 14, day 28 after KDR2-2 usage.

Distal Ischemic Stroke Treatment With Adjustable Low-profile Stentriever

Ischemic StrokeNeovascularization

The objective of the DISTALS Study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Tigertriever 13 Revascularization Device in restoring blood flow in the neurovasculature by removing thrombus in patients presenting within 24 hours of onset with an ischemic stroke with disabling neurological deficits due to a primary distal vessel occlusion (DVO), as compared to medical management.

Longterm Efficiency and Safety of Intravitreal Injections With Bevacizumab in Patients With Neovascularisation...

Retinal NeovascularizationMacular Edema

Although the safety and efficacy of bevacizumab has been established in several phase 3 trials, there is only little documented about the long-term safety and efficacy in the 'real-world practice' in large populations from different regions. Therefore the investigators evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of intravitreal treatment with bevacizumab by registration of best corrected visual acuity, side-effects and central retinal thickness as measured with the ocular coherence tomography if available. This will allow the investigators to compare the results of their centre with the results of several phase 3 trials from the literature and will guide improvements in their treatment protocols.

Laser Induced Changes to Innervation and Vascularisation of Psoriatic Skin

Psoriasis Vulgaris

The researchers investigate the effect of a treatment with selective photothermolysis using a 595 nm pulsed dye laser on the blood vessel density and the nerve fibre density of a psoriatic lesion. By comparing tissue samples collected before and after two treatments, the researchers determine the relative effect of laser therapy on the (hyper)innervation of psoriatic skin.

Corneal Crosslinking for Treatment of Corneal Neovascularization

Corneal Neovascularization

The study objective is to assess safety and efficacy of photo-activation of riboflavin for treatment of corneal neovascularization with or without concomitant inflammation and/or infection.

Treat-and-extend Using Aflibercept for Type 3 Neovascularization

Retinal Angiomatous Proliferation

Type 3 neovascularization is a subtype of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) that is characterized by intraretinal neovascularization. Treat-and-extend (TAE) regimen is a widely-used, effective anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatment regimen for neovascular AMD, regardless of subtypes of AMD. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the 18-month treatment outcome of TAE in type 3 neovascularization.

Effect of Corona Virus on Intravitreal Injections

Diabetic Macular EdemaAge-Related Macular Degeneration3 more

During pandemic of corona virus, patients compliance may be affected. We aim to study the factors lead to unregulated visits and its implications on the final visual outcome.

Episcleral Brachytherapy for the Treatment of Wet AMD

Macular DegenerationChoroidal Neovascularization

This is a prospective, multi-site, safety and feasibility study of the SalutarisMD SMD-DA system for retrobulbar minimally invasive episcleral brachytherapy device in patients receiving and not responding to anti-VEGF therapy for nAMD. The trial will be open label and non-randomized. The study intervention is a one-time intervention and requires no alteration to the standard of care during the follow-up period.

68Ga-NODAGA-RGD PET/ CT for Tumoral Neoangiogenesis

Pathological Angiogenesis

This study will assess the potential of the 68Ga-NODAGA-RGD for the evaluation of neoangiogenesis in patients followed for a neoplastic pathology and for whom a18F-FDG (or 18F-FET for gliomas) is indicated for initial extension evaluation or suspicion of recurrent tumor.
