Eslicarbazepine Acetate as Therapy in Post-Herpetic Neuralgia
Post Herpetic NeuralgiaThe primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of Eslicarbazepine acetate (ESL) as therapy in subjects with Post-herpetic Neuralgia (PHN) over a 15 week treatment phase.
Efficacy of Etoricoxib on Peripheral Hyperalgesia
CausalgiaPolyneuropathy3 moreThe purpose of the study is to determine the efficacy of etoricoxib on pain patients. The investigators assume that patients with neuropathic pain will have greater pain relief then patients on placebo.
Pregabalin Trial In HIV Neuropathic Pain
HIV-1 InfectionNeuropathic PainThis study examines the safety of pregabalin over a 6 month period in patients with neuropathic pain associated with HIV infection as an extension of another trial that tests the efficacy of pregabalin.
Study to Evaluate Efficacy, Safety, Tolerability and Pharmacokinetics of AZD1386 in Patients With...
PainNeuropathic PainThe primary aim of this study is to investigate if AZD1386 is efficacious as an analgesic in patients with peripheral neuropathic pain. This will be done by comparing the effect of AZD1386 to placebo ("inactive substance") on pain.
Evaluation of Effectiveness and Tolerability of Tapentadol Hydrochloride in Subjects With Severe...
PainChronic Pain3 moreThe main objective of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness, tolerability, and safety of tapentadol hydrochloride prolonged release in subjects suffering from severe chronic low back pain (LBP) who are taking WHO Step III analgesics and show lack of tolerability. This is a clinical effectiveness trial designed to establish a link between anticipated clinical outcomes and the clinical practice by means of selected measures of clinical and subject-reported outcome. The trial will compare the effectiveness of previous analgesic treatment (WHO Step III) with that of tapentadol hydrochloride prolonged release treatment during defined periods of evaluation.

Diabetic Neuropathic PainChronic Low Back PainThe purpose of the study is to determine whether the combination of the the three drugs gabapentin, duloxetine, and donepezil are effective in treating pain in people with diabetic neuropathy or patients with failed low back syndrome (chronic back pain).
A Study Comparing the Efficacy and Safety of ABT-652 to Placebo in Subjects With Diabetic Neuropathic...
Diabetic Neuropathic PainTo evaluate the safety and efficacy of ABT-652 compared to Placebo in subjects with diabetic neuropathic pain. People with diabetes can, over time develop nerve damage throughout the body with symptoms such as pain, tingling, or numbness (loss of feeling) in the hands, arms, feet and legs.
Study to Find Out if Therapy With the Drug Pregabalin Relieves Pain During Shingles Compared With...
Herpes ZosterPostherpetic NeuralgiaThe purpose of this study is to see if therapy with the drug pregabalin relieves pain during shingles compared with placebo. A placebo is an inactive substance. Pregabalin is a drug marketed as Lyrica™ in the United States for the treatment of seizures, diabetic neuropathy, and post-herpetic neuralgia. The use of pregabalin and drugs like it for the treatment of pain during the acute phase of shingles is experimental. Thirty four subjects will complete the study at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Pain Clinical Research Center. This study is funded by Pfizer Global Research.
Efficacy of Cortex Stimulation in Neuropathic Pain
Rebel Neuropathic PainsThe pains chronic neurogeneses remain difficult to treat whatever are their origin and their localization. The pharmacological therapeutic arsenal answers only partially the symptomatology often very invalidating which these chronic painful patients present. Electric stimulations of the central nervous system currently validated, in particular of the posterior cords of marrow made a significant improvement in a certain number of indications. Nevertheless, considerable patients are not relieved significantly, in particular those presenting of the pains neurogeneses of central origin (syndromes thalamic for example). It is within this framework that recently the stimulation of the sensorimotor cortex developed. Principal objective: evaluation of the technique of stimulation under cortical on neuropathic pains .
Neurosensory Abnormalities in SymptomAtic Ocular Surface Patients (NASA)
Dry EyeNeuropathic PainThis study is designed to measure how common nerve abnormalities are within a group of patients who feel discomfort within their eyes.
