Collecting and Storing Tissue Samples From Patients With Rare or Cutaneous Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma...
Adult Immunoblastic LymphomaCentral Nervous System Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma11 moreThis research study is collecting and storing tissue samples from patients with rare or cutaneous non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Collecting and storing samples of tissue from patients with cancer to test in the laboratory may help the study of cancer in the future.
Early Evaluation of the Response of Large B Cell Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma to Chemotherapy by PET/CT...
LymphomaLarge-CellPatients affected with non-Hodgkin's large B-cell lymphoma are treated by chemotherapy. The evaluation of the response to this treatment is made by Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT) in many centres where this technology is available. Presently PET scans and CT scans are being performed before treatment, after 4 cycles of chemotherapy and a few months after the end of treatment. The goal of this study is to determine if it is possible to evaluate the efficiency of chemotherapy treatments after one cycle of treatment instead of waiting after 4 cycles, using a new scanner that combines PET and CT modalities. Data available from studies on these combined exams suggest that PET/CT helps to rapidly evaluate the response of the chemotherapy treatment. We also want to verify if some pathological characteristics measured from tumor cells will enable doctors to predict in advance the response to treatment.
A Retrospective Cohort Study: Influence of MTHFR C677T and A1298C Polymorphisms on the Survival...
Pediatric Non-Hodgkin LymphomaThe primary purpose of this retrospective study was to investigate the influence of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) C677T/A1298C polymorphism on the survival of pediatric patients with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) treated with modified NHL-BFM95 protocol in south China.
Hypoxia-Specific Imaging to Predict Outcomes of Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell Therapy
Recurrent Aggressive Non-Hodgkin LymphomaRecurrent Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma10 moreThis study evaluates whether tumors present in patients with cancer who are planned to get CAR T-cells have low amounts of oxygen (hypoxia). PET scans may be used to check the amounts of oxygen within areas of cancer with a special radioactive tracer called FAZA that specifically looks for areas of low oxygen. This study is being done to help researchers determine how the amount of oxygen within areas of cancer affect how well CAR T-cells kill cancer cells.
FLT PET: A Pilot Study in Lymphoma Patients
Hodgkin's LymphomaNon-Hodgkin's LymphomaBackground: Residual masses on follow-up surveillance imaging are frequently detected in paediatric patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The residual mass may consist of inflammatory, fibrous or necrotic tissue, or it could represent residual tumor. In most cases, positron emission tomography (PET) with 2-[fluorine-18]-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) is useful for distinguishing tumor from fibrosis. However, FDG is not tumor-specific, and increased accumulation of the tracer may be seen in a variety of benign entities which can give rise to false-positive or equivocal FDG PET findings. Alternatively, the uptake of 3'-deoxy-3'-[fluorine-18]-fluorothymidine (FLT) reflects cellular proliferation, and may prove to be a reliable method in resolving equivocal FDG PET findings. Indeed, several studies have demonstrated that FLT can be safely administered to children, and in some cases be more useful than FDG PET in differentiating between infection or inflammation and malignancy. This study hypothesizes that FLT PET can be used as an adjunct imaging modality in paediatric lymphoma patients with equivocal interim or post-therapy FDG PET findings, and that this technique can provide additional diagnostic information which will be useful in distinguishing fibrotic or necrotic residual mass lesions from those that may be harbouring malignancy.
Living Conditions of Patients With Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma or Follicular Lymphoma in the Côte...
Diffuse Large Cell Diffuse LymphomaFollicular LymphomaThe development of new diagnostic tools and targeted therapy have significantly improved the management of non-Hodgkin's malignant lymphomas and thus their long-term prognosis. However, in the study of improved patient management, survival is not the only measurable indicator and preservation of quality of life is an essential component. In addition, there is little existing data regarding the determinants of quality of life in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) or follicular lymphoma (FL) in the general population in France.
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and Lymphoblastic Lymphoma Gait Parameters Study
Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaChildhood Lymphoblastic LymphomaThis purpose of this study it to characterize the walking patterns of children diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)and Lymphoblastic Lymphoma (LL) at different times in the treatment protocol and after completion of treatment. Their walking patterns will be compared to children without ALL or LL to see if their walking patterns are different at specific times in their treatment program or up to 10 years after completion of their treatment. The investigators will gather data by observing how the child walks, runs, hops on one foot and climbs stairs and by recording walking patterns on a pressure sensitive mat. The investigators will compare this data to children without ALL and LL.
