This study aims to assess barriers that prevent obesity patients from receiving adequate care for their condition. The non-interventional study will be administered in the form of a 30-minute, cross-sectional, online survey to various respondents. There is no experimentation involved in the process of data collection, and each survey poses minimal human risk. The study will evaluate lifestyle habits and weight management strategies perceived and/or practiced by each of 3 stakeholders in obesity: Patients (People with obesity), Providers, and Employers. A customized survey will be administered to each of the 3 stakeholders, and data will be analyzed based on respondents' answers.

Diagnosing the nutritional status of cancer patients is extremely important. An appropriate nutritional status supports a better tolerance to the treatment. A working protocol is essential to start with Nutritional Screening. If it is detected Malnutrition Risk or Malnutrition, diet counseling, and the specific therapeutic for each patient must be provided. This descriptive study will serve three aims: Register in the cancer patient's electronic medical record their nutritional status at the admission and when the patient is discharged. Determine the percentage of malnourished patients or in the risk of malnutrition who are admitted to hospitalization. Recognize the number of patients that required specialized nutritional care. The purpose of this study is to determine if 30% of the patients admitted to the headquarters of SOLCA in Guayaquil from the Ecuadorian Cancer Society are at malnutrition risk or with any specific malnutrition level.

The risk of muscle wasting is high in the intensive care unit patients during the treatment process and this condition is associated with adverse clinical outcomes. The etiology of muscle wasting is multifactorial and medical nutrition therapy plays a key role in muscle wasting treatment and prevention. The aim of this study is assesing the malnutrition and fraility, anthropometric measurements, and muscle mass by ultrasound at the first admission to the intensive care unit and to determine the nutritional factors affecting clinical outcomes. In addition, it is planned to determine the risk factors affecting the change of anthropometric measurements and muscle wasting in the first week during the intensive care unit.

The food composition and consumption of certain foods could be associated with a higher or lower inflammatory activity of spondyloarthritis and consequently changes in the quality of life of patients. This has been shown in other chronic inflammatory disease. In order to highlight a profile or nutritional profiles associated with the activity of the disease, we chose to carry out observational pilot study using a qualitative food survey, which will be submitted to all patients with spondyloarthritis. The general demographic data and the data of the disease will be collected by the investigating physician at the same time, as well as possible confounding factors: comorbidities, physical activity, treatments.
