Study of NPL-2003 in Adolescents With Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Obsessive Compulsive DisorderThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of NPL-2003 on the symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in an adolescent population.

Fluvoxamine Maleate in the Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: A Post-marketing Clinical...
Obsessive Compulsive DisorderThis study is to verify the efficacy of fluvoxamine maleate given for 10 weeks in treatment of children and adolescents with obsessive-compulsive disorder

Cognitive Training in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Obsessive-Compulsive DisorderThis unique study will allow us to observe the neural correlates associated with working memory in an obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) paradigm. We believe that developing working memory in participants suffering with OCD will reduce the severity of their symptomology. This will allow a greater understanding into the functioning of these participants which in turn presents with treatment possibilities.

Sertraline in Generalized Social Phobia With Co-Occurring Anxiety and Mood Disorders
PhobiaSocial5 moreSelective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) including sertraline have been found to be effective in the treatment of generalized social phobia (GSP). However, virtually all of the current treatment studies with medicines, including the SSRIs, have excluded patients with social phobia who have other co-occurring conditions. In fact, 80% of individuals suffering with primary social phobia have at least one other anxiety. This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of sertraline in the treatment of generalized social phobia with co-occurring anxiety and mood disorders.

Attention Bias Modification Treatment for Anxious Youth
Generalized Anxiety DisorderSeparation Anxiety Disorder3 moreThe purpose of this project is to study the feasibility and efficacy of attention bias modification treatment (ABMT) in a randomized-controlled sample of anxious youth.

Naltrexone SR and Fluoxetine Combination Therapy in Subjects With Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder...
Obsessive-Compulsive DisorderThe purpose of this study is to determine if the combination of naltrexone SR and fluoxetine is more effective in treating the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)than either fluoxetine alone or naltrexone SR alone.

Predicting Treatment Response in Patients With OCD
Obsessive-Compulsive DisorderThis study consists of a naturalistic follow-up of subjects with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) that have participated in a global study investigating brain signatures of OCD funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health (RO1MH113250), with the following participant sites: the US (Columbia University, PI: Helen Blair Simpson), Brazil (University of Sao Paulo, PIs: Euripedes Miguel and Roseli G Shavitt), India (National Institutes of Mental Health, PI: Janardhan Reddy), The Netherlands (VU Amsterdam Medical Center, PI: Odile van den Heuvel), and South Africa (University of Cape Town, PI: Dan Stein; Stellenbosch University, PI: Christine Lochner). In this cross-sectional study, two-hundred and fifty unmedicated subjects with OCD (50 per site) will be assessed for clinical, neurocognitive and neuroimaging data. After completion of this study, participants willing to receive evidence-based treatments for OCD will be treated with the available resources in each site and will be assessed for treatment response status periodically, with a final assessment after 1 year of naturalistic follow-up. At this point, we will investigate baseline clinical, neurocognitive and neuroimaging variables associated with the treatment response status.

Cognitive Checking Intervention for Maladaptive Beliefs About Memory
Obsessive-Compulsive DisorderA small (N = 24) pilot study developed a new and brief cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) module for checking symptoms (CBT-C) in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). CBT-C targets maladaptive beliefs about memory and results show that it is effective at significantly decreasing checking symptoms as compared to a waitlist control. The objectives of the current investigation are to further investigate CBT-C by (1) replicating the pilot results in a larger sample; (2) using an active control condition (treatment as usual) as the comparison condition (3) including a 6-month follow-up, and (4) determining whether the association between maladaptive beliefs about memory at pre-treatment assessment are related to degree of checking symptom reduction following CBT-C. The findings of the study will have theoretical significance in adding to our understanding of the maladaptive belief domains relevant to the development and maintenance of OCD and supporting the cognitive model of compulsive checking. The relevant clinical significance is the further development of an intervention that could improve outcomes in treatment of persons with OCD. The key practical outcome of the research would be to add a stepped care offering to patients with OCD.

Probiotic Treatment in Adult Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Obsessive-Compulsive DisorderThis study will evaluate the effectiveness of 12-weeks of probiotic treatment in adults with primary Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and whether this treatment will alter the microbiota composition in these patients.

Study to Evaluate the Effect of AFQ056 in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Patients Resistant...
Patient Diagnosed With OCD and Resistant to SSRI TreatmentFailed SSRI Over 12 Weeks at Appropriate DosesThe purpose of this study is to determine whether AFQ056 as an add on therapy to SSRIs can have beneficial effects by reducing the total score of Y-BOCS (Yale and Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale) in OCD patients resistant to SSRI treatment (failed SSRI over 12 weeks at appropriate doses).
