Patient charts will be reviewed to evaluate the incidence of intraocular pressure spikes while on Loteprednol etabonate ophthalmic suspension 0.5%, Loteprednol etabonate (0.5%) and tobramycin (0.3%)

We hypothesize that glaucoma patients demonstrate an impaired retinal vascular response to the flicker stimulus, and that this disturbance is predictive of the progression of glaucomatous damage. The response of a major temporal superior and inferior retinal artery and vein to a 60 seconds 12.5 Hz flicker light stimulation in 50 glaucoma patients, 50 ocular hypertensives and 50 controls (using the Retinal Vessel Analyzer) and to investigate how intraocular pressure relates to neurovascular coupling. In addition, 50 glaucoma patients and 50 ocular hypertension patients will be followed for 3 years for functional (visual field, automated perimetry with Octopus device) and morphological (retinal nerve fiber layer thickness, Optical Coherence Tomography Stratus (OCT) device) glaucomatous damage progression, in order to test the predictive power of the retinal vascular flicker response for glaucoma progression.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between intraocular pressure and central corneal thickness using various instruments in ocular hypertension, normal-tension glaucoma, primary open angle glaucoma, keratoconus and normal eyes.

Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is a new method to reduce intraocular pressure in eyes with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. SLT may also be effective for cases with previously failed ALT procedures. We will study the efficacy and safety of the SLT procedure.

This is a prospective, multi-centre, cross sectional observational study to determine the prevalence of ocular surface disease (OSD) in glaucoma patients, nationwide. The study also analyses sub group of OSD prevalence, stratified according to the treatment types (i.e. preserved, preservative-free, and combination of preservative-free and preserved eyedrops), and illustrates the patient perspective on OSD.

A prospective study reporting on Ex-PRESS shunt implantation alone or combined cataract and glaucoma surgery.

Study the change of retrofoveolar choroidal thickness measured by optical coherence tomography during aerobic exercise inducing an increase in systolic blood pressure in healthy subjects.Ten healthy participants will perform an exercise (riding a bicycle ergometer) and will be examined with EDI-OCT. Each participant will be scanned before exercise, during the exercise and afterwards at 0 and 5 min. Each OCT measurement will be coupled to the arterial blood pressure evaluation.

To explore an effective diagnostic tool of glaucoma through the dynamic analysis of computerized pupillary light reflex assessment device (CPLRAD) pupillography based on iris recognition techniques and investigate its feasibility in glaucoma screening.

Retrospective analysis of efficacy of selective laser trabeculoplasty in patients under treatment with topical prostaglandins compared to patients without topical prostaglandins is performed. Inclusion criterion are patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension, who underwent treatment with selective laser trabeculoplasty due to insufficient control of intraocular pressure during their routine treatment at the University Hospital Zurich / Division of Ophthalmology.

Retrospective analysis of efficacy of selective laser trabeculoplasty in pseudophakic patients compared to phakic patients is performed. Inclusion criterion are patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension who underwent treatment with selective laser trabeculoplasty due to insufficient control of intraocular pressure during their routine treatment at the University Hospital Zurich / Division of Ophthalmology.
