Current guidelines recommend all people with cancer-related pain should be prescribed paracetamol, even those receiving high doses of strong pain killers (opioids) such as morphine. Although this has been shown in studies to be beneficial in other conditions, for instance dental work and after surgery, it has not been shown to further improve pain in people with cancer-related pain. Taking tablets is burdensome to patients and the study aims to determine whether the inconvenience of taking eight extra paracetamol tablets per day can be justified. The study plans to show whether or not pain control is changed (non-inferior) when stopping paracetamol compared to continued use of paracetamol in people already taking strong pain killers for cancer-related pain. Voluntary participants who are taking a combination of paracetamol and a strong opioid are recruited to the study.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether or not mindfulness-based interventions/MBIs may help reduce chronic pain in participants who have cancer-related chronic pain. MBIs are therapeutic programs that use mindfulness meditation practices to help people focus on the present moment, as well as encourage acceptance of thoughts, emotions, and body sensations. The researchers think that an MBI treatment called Mindfulness-oriented Recovery Enhancement (MORE) may help people who are experiencing cancer-related chronic pain.

This is a non-randomized, unblinded dose-titration study to evaluate different "doses" of virtual reality to impact moderate-to-severe pain in patients living with cancer. After consenting to participate, in addition to usual pharmacologic pain management, participants will receive 1 week of VR daily for 10 minutes per session, then 1 week of VR twice a day for 10 minutes per session, then 1 week of VR use as desired by the participants.

Patients will undergo an implantation of an extradural pituitary surface electrode in the pituitary fossa. The electrode will be attached to a neurostimulator via which the patient will receive up to 8 (patient requested) stimulations per day.

'Distress' refers to emotional distress, including psychological distress, in cancer patients. This study aims to explore whether mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy for cancer patients is effective in relieving distress and to discover neurophysiological factors that contribute to relieving distress. Mindfulness meditation, which is the core of mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, can develop cognitive flexibility through 'awareness of what is happening now'. In this study, a mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy program is implemented for patients with advanced cancer, and clinical characteristics and conditions including distress level are observed through questionnaires and interviews. In addition, genetic data and brain imaging data are collected through blood sampling and brain magnetic resonance imaging. The ultimate goal of this study is to prove the therapeutic efficacy of a mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy program for distress of patients with advanced cancer through an in-depth and multifaceted integrated approach, and to understand the related neurophysiological mechanisms.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate how feasible and beneficial it is to refer patients with cancer pain to a doctor who specializes in pain management, including procedures to relieve pain, and whether this is helpful to patients with pain related to their cancer.

Cancer pain is a frequent symptom, reported by 20 to 70% of patients in any stage of the cancer disease : 60 to 70% in the advanced stage of the disease and 20 to 40% among the survivors. Among patients who report pain, 40% report undertreated pain. Strengthening Pain management in cancer is a specific objective of the French Cancer Plan. Providing patient education for cancer pain management is recommended since small to moderate efficacy of patient education on pain intensity and interference was found in all meta-analysis. An effect size comparable with some analgesic agents. However, recommendations suggest improvement in order to increase effectiveness and population reach of those interventions. The DECLIC EPRI intervention aim at addressing all the issues raised by patient education for cancer pain management. It was developed according to the framework of Michie's Behavior change wheel theory.

This clinical trial studies the effect of an interdisciplinary program with strong patient involvement on managing long-term chronic pain for cancer survivors. The purpose of this study is to determine whether enrolling patients into an interdisciplinary program can improve mobility with physical and occupational therapy and participation in online group psychotherapy that teaches coping skills to enhance quality of life.

Cancer patients experience cancer pain as much as 66%. Cancer pain is pain that occurs in patients with neoplastic/malignancy and the source of the pain can come from malignant processes, treatments such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery as well as other causes that are not related to malignancy processes. Unresolved pain can reduce the quality and life expectancy of cancer pain patients. The prevalence of cancer itself in Indonesia, the case of cervical cancer itself ranks second after breast cancer. In recent decades, acupuncture analgesics have been widely used to relieve cancer pain, and can also reduce the dose and side effects of analgesics. However, substantially the use of acupuncture in cancer pain is still very rare.

This study will evaluate patients on both buprenorphine and full agonist opioids (FAO) to assess for withdrawal symptoms. Patients will be evaluated by clinicians and using validated tools to assess for pain and withdrawal. At the same time, patients will use a CPM Rx application on their phone to track medication use.
