Anterior Open Bite Treatment With Bonded Spurs Associated With Build-ups Versus Conventional Bonded...
MalocclusionOpen BiteThis study compares the dentoalveolar and skeletal effects of bonded spurs associated with build-ups versus conventional bonded spurs in the early treatment of anterior open bite patients. Half of participants will be treated with bonded spurs associated with build-ups, while the other half will be treated with conventional bonded spurs. The null hypothesis to be tested is that there are no differences for the dentoalveolar and skeletal effects between the two protocols.
Molar Intrusion in Open Bite Treatment
Anterior Open BiteThis experimental study will evaluate the effect of different methods for the molar intrusion (compared with the control group) in adolescent and adult patients with open bite malocclusion. The study sample will consist of 45 patients with anterior open bite. The sample will be randomly allocated into two experimental groups, in addition to a control group. The investigators will apply a modified version of the Open Bite Appliance (OBA), by Erverdi and Usumez, for all patients in upper posterior teeth. For this purpose, miniplates will be used in the first treatment group, while miniscrews will be used in the second treatment group. In the control group, only OBA will be used. The skeletal and dentoalveolar changes occurring after intrusion of posterior teeth will be assessed by using posteroanterior and lateral cephalometric radiographs. Pre- and post- treatment changes for each group will be evaluated, in addition to the comparison of the post-treatment skeletal and dental changes that occurs between groups.
Maxillary Versus Bi-Maxillary Posterior Segments Intrusion Adult Subjects With Skeletal Open Bite...
Dental MalocclusionCompare between bi-maxillary (maxillary and mandibular) posterior dento-alveolar intrusion and maxillary posterior dento-alveolar intrusion as regards open bite closure.
Early Treatment of Skeletal Anterior Open Bite by Two Appliances
Open BiteOpen bite is a common dentoalveolar component of the facial pattern of the excessive vertical dimension patients that is also known as the gaping angle face pattern. It is a deformation in the vertical relationship between the upper and the lower dental arches that is characterized by the loss of contact between the opposite dental segments.

Implications of Pacifier Use in Israeli Children
CrossbiteOpenbite1 moreThe purpose of this study is to examine pacifier sucking habits among children, and to assess implications of the oral habit - for example malocclusions and drooling. The effect of pacifier sucking will be recorded and compared to pacifier type and frequency of use.
Prevalence of Anterior Open Bite in a Group of Egyptian Children Aged Eight Years and Above
Anterior Open BiteThis study aims to determine the prevalence of anterior open bite and its etiological factors in a group of Egyptian children aged 8 years and above. patients who met the eligibility criteria will be given a questionnaire to fill followed by obtaining casts stabilized into occlusion to obtain the vertical and horizontal relationships.
