Efficacy and Safety of Intraarticular Injections of Hyalgan in the Treatment of Osteoarthritis of...
OsteoarthritisEvaluate the efficacy and safety of Hyalgan, at a dose of 20mg/2ml administered as 5 intraarticular injections at weekly intervals, for the sustained relief of pain and amelioration of joint dysfunction in patients of OA of the knee.
Accuracy of MRI-based Patients Matched Instruments vs Jig-based Instruments in Total Knee Arthroplasty...
Osteoarthritis of KneeTotal knee arthroplasty (TKA) is the common and effective procedure for treatment of end-staged knee osteoarthritis. Postoperative alignment of TKA is one of the important factors which effects on survival of prosthesis. High percentage of misalignment has been reported in conventional technique with using the jig based instruments. Several methods and devices were established to solve this problem. Customized or patient matched instruments were the novel technology that made from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of lower limb. With using special software to calculate the alignment axis, it was thought that accurate alignment can be achieved by using this instruments. Therefore, the study aimed to compare the accuracy of MRI based patient matched instruments and jig based instruments in TKA.
Platelet-rich Plasma Intra-articular Knee Injections for Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee OsteoarthritisThe benefit of using platelet rich plasma (PRP) in cartilage injuries, and specifically in degenerative ones, has not been assessed yet. Current studies on the PRP healing or repairing effect on knee cartilage degenerative injuries are not conclusive to establish a standard of behavior, although PRP has shown to improve joint functionality and reduce pain. Hypothesis: PRP intra-articular injections in osteoarthritic knees reduces pain and leads to a more effective and lasting functional recovering than corticosteroid intra-articular injections.
Efficacy and Safety of 3 Different Dosage Regimens of Hyaluronic Acid in Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis...
Osteoarthritis of the KneeThe main objective is the comparison of three different dosage regimens of hyaluronic acid in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.
Study of FX005 for the Treatment of Pain in Patients With Osteoarthritis of the Knee
OsteoarthritisKneeThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, efficacy and pharmacokinetics of FX005 for the treatment of pain in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee.
Evaluation of Clinical Endpoints of Two Diclofenac Sodium Gel 1%
Osteo Arthritis of the KneeThe objective of this study is to evaluate the clinical equivalence and safety of the Test formulation of diclofenac sodium topical gel 1% (Anchen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) compared to the marketed formulation Voltaren® Gel (diclofenac sodium topical gel) 1% (Novartis) in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee. The efficacy of both the Test and Reference formulations will also be compared to the Placebo gel to determine Superiority.
Allogeneic Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis of KneeThis trial is planed to study if allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells would be safe and beneficial in osteoarthritis of knee joint. This is a double blind study. Different doses of stem cells will be used in this study.
Cupping in Osteoarthritis of the Knee
Osteoarthritis of the KneeThe purpose of this exploratory randomised trial is to study the effect of pulsatile cupping in osteoarthritis of the knee compared to waiting list control.
Dose Finding Study of Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 (BMP-7) in Subjects With Osteoarthritis (OA)...
Osteoarthritis of the KneeThe objectives of the study are to evaluate the safety and efficacy of intraarticular BMP-7 for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.
Does Tourniquet Use in Total Knee Replacement Improve Fixation
OsteoarthritisKneeAlthough a tourniquet may reduce bleeding during total knee replacement (TKA), and thereby improve fixation, it might also cause complications. Migration as measured by RadioStereometric Analysis (RSA) can predict future loosening. We will investigate if the use of a tourniquet influences fixation measured with RSA.
