Surgical Joint Registry MBJRF
OsteoarthritisKnee2 moreThe purpose of this study is to follow the patient's short term and long term clinical outcome after undergoing joint replacement surgery.
MOON Onsite MRI 10 Years After ACL Reconstruction
OsteoarthritisKneeIn this study, a total of 219 subjects from the MOON nested cohort will be studied at CCF, Vanderbilt and OSU, Table 1. Among them, some will have added MRI during their 10-year visit for the MOON study. Some subjects who finished their 10-year visit for the MOON Onsite study already will be called back to have MRI. PROMs and other information of these subjects will be collected through the MOON study.
The Efficacy of Radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy on Knee Osteoarthritis
OsteoarthritisKneeThis is a double-blind placebo controlled trial whose objective is to understand how much the radial extracorporeal shockwave therapy can improve function of patients with knee osteoarthritis. For this trial, patients with knee osteoarthritis, after signing the informed consent form and having their demographic and baseline information collected, will be randomly allocated into one of both treatment arms: radial extracorporeal shockwave therapy (rESWT) or sham radial extracorporeal shockwave therapy. Then, they will undertake three sessions of rESWT, for three weeks, i.e. one session per week. Patients will be assessed prior to the therapy, one week after the end of the therapy and three months after the end of the therapy, and the primary outcome of this study is the functional change measured by the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) validated in Portuguese, three months after the end of the therapy. Secondary outcomes, will be the change of pain, the change of pressure pain tolerance threshold, change in diffuse noxious inhibitory control (DNIC), and thermographic changes.
A Multicenter, Postmarket Surveillance Study of Subjects With the Canary canturioTM te Tibial Extension...
Knee OsteoarthritisThe objectives of this prospective observational cohort study are to evaluate the safety, reliability, reproducibility, and accuracy of the Canary canturioTM te post-TKA.
Comparison Between MR Arthrography ,ct Arthrography and Conventional MR in Osteoachondral Lesions...
Knee OsteoarthritisThe aim of this study is to compare the diagnostic efficacy of conventional MRI, MR arthrography and MDCT arthrography in the detection and grading of chondral lesions of the osteoarthritic knee with arthroscopic correlation
A Long Term Follow-up Study of Subjects Who Received ICM-203 or Matching Placebo
OsteoarthritisKneeThis is an observational study of the long term safety and efficacy of ICM-203.
Reducing Perioperative Oxidative Stress to Prevent Postoperative Chronic Pain Following Total Knee...
OsteoarthritisKnee2 moreThis is a prospective randomized controlled trial that will assess preoperative, perioperative, and long-term oxidative stress (OS); pain; and functional outcomes over a 12 month period and test the hypothesis that a potent antioxidant intervention (glycine + N-acetyl-cysteine(GlyNAC)) reduces oxidative stress and chronic post surgical pain (CPSP) in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
Treadmill Perturbation Training for Fall Prevention After Total Knee Replacement
Knee OsteoarthritisArthroplasty ComplicationsThe goal of this clinical trial is to learn about preventing falls in people who have total knee replacement surgery using treadmill perturbation training. Perturbation training involves adjusting to rapid speed changes on a treadmill. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does perturbation training improve the way that people who are planning to have total knee replacement surgery recover after treadmill test that reproduces a trip to the front or side? Does perturbation training reduce the incidence of preventable gait-related falls during the first year after total knee replacement? Participants will: complete surveys about their condition and fall history and take part in testing of walking ability and balance. have a baseline gait analysis test to measure the motion of their body during normal walking. Be randomized into two groups. One will receive fall-prevention literature. The other will receive the same literature and then take part in a two-week treadmill perturbation training program. be contacted every two weeks for one year, and asked questions about whether they have fallen during that time. wear an activity monitor on their wrist for one week periods, every three months. Researchers will compare the number of falls from the group that received literature to the treatment group to see if the training group has fewer falls during the year after surgery.
Effects of Fall Prevention Program on the Number of Falls Among Elderly Following Total Knee Replacement...
FallOsteo Arthritis Knee1 morethe aim of the proposed research is to investigate the short and long-term effects of integrating a comprehensive fall prevention programme into conventional physiotherapy on the number of falls, balance, and functional ability among elderly following TKR. the investigator hypothesize that conventional physiotherapy integrated with a fall prevention program is more effective than conventional physiotherapy alone in improving balance and functional ability and preventing the occurrence of falls among elderly following TKR. Study type: The proposed study is a parallel group prospective (24 weeks) randomised single-blinded pragmatic controlled trial. Participants: Older adults operated for TKR at Al-Razi orthopedic hospital, who met the inclusion criteria.
Evaluation of a Web-based Platform for Osteoarthritis Treatment
OsteoarthritisKneeThis study will compare the effects of a novel web-based program (Joint Academy) to regular face-to-face treatment (the BOA program) for people with osteoarthritis of the knee. Half of the participants will be randomized to the web-based program whilst the other half will receive regular face-to-face care.
