CONNACT OA Knee Cohort
OsteoarthritisKneeCONNACT OA knee cohort is a prospective longitudinal cohort study where we aim to collect sociodemographic, psychosocial, clinical, health utilization and cost data in order to better understand the Asian OA knee cohort and investigate for prognostic variables that can potentially influence a patients clinical outcome and treatment decisions. In addition, the CONNACT OA knee cohort will form the basis for a cohort multiple randomized control trial (cmRCT) study design where multiple interventions can be tested in a randomized fashion. Each intervention is offered to a randomly selected sample of patients eligible for that intervention, who are then compared with the rest of the eligible patients from the cohort that are still being treated as usual.
Journey II vs Persona Knee Systems - RCT
Knee OsteoarthritisThis study compares and evaluates differences in patient-reported outcome, survivorship and radiological analysis between patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty with use of either Zimmer Biomet PERSONA Posterior Stabilized (PS) system and Smith&Nephew Journey II Bi-Cruciate Stabilized (BCS) system
Efficacy and Tolerability of Proteoglycan F in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis
Primary Osteoarthritis of Knee NosThis clinical trial study is conducted in Vietnam to assess the efficacy and tolerability of Proteoglycan F in the treatment of primary knee osteoarthritis. 72 outpatients (40-80 years old) were diagnosed with primary knee osteoarthritis and met the American College of Rheumatology 1991 criteria. Patients have to be symptomatic for ≥ 3 months before enrollment and have a radiologic grade II and III measured by the Kellgren-Lawrence criteria. The study was designed as a Prospective, Randomized, Double-blind Controlled trial. Each patient will be follow during 24 weeks of intervention, follow-up every 4 weeks.
Clinical Study of Cord Blood Mononuclear Cells (UCB-MNCs) in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis...
Knee OsteoarthritisUmbilical cord blood mononuclear cells contain hematopoietic stem cells (HSC), mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), endothelial progenitor cells and other pluripotent stem cells, as well as immature immune cells, which can differentiate into chondrocytes, hematopoietic, epithelial, endothelial and nerve cells. It gives the ability to promote wound healing and vascular microcirculation reconstruction, and has the potential to treat many diseasesHowever, clinical studies on cord blood mononuclear cells in knee osteoarthritis have not been reported in the literature. Therefore, this study aims to explore the safety and effectiveness of cord blood mononuclear cells in the treatment of patients with knee osteoarthritis.
The Effect of Telerehabilitation-Based Exercise and Training on Outcome Measures in Patients With...
OsteoarthritisKnee ArthritisVideo exercise component of the telerehabilitation would provide additional contribution to the patients. The aim of this study is to compare the effects of telerehabilitation-based exercise program and conventional (given on paper) exercise and training combination practices on pain, functionality, balance, proprioception and quality of life in patients with knee OA.
Compressive Myofascial Release in Knee Osteoarthritis
OsteoarthritisKneeThe purpose of the study is to compare the effects of compressive myofascial release and conventional knee osteoarthritis treatment to correct lateral patellar tracking. A randomized control trial was conducted at Railway General Hospital, Ahad Medicare clinics and physiotherapy Centre and The Health Professional physiotherapy clinic Bahria town phase 6. The sample size was 52 calculated through open-epi tool. The participants were divided into two interventional groups each having 26 participants. The study duration was six months. Sampling technique applied was non probability convenient sampling for recruitment and group randomization using sealed enveloped method. Only participants who were 50 years above with grade 2 and 3 knee osteoarthritis were included in the study. Tools used in this study are Q angle, numeric pain rating scale, goniometry and WOMAC questionnaire, Self structured Questionnaire. Data was collected at baseline, at the end of 3rd session and 6th session. Data analyzed through SPSS version 23.
A Study to Compare the Effectiveness of Adductor Canal Pain Catheters Following Total Knee Arthroplasty...
OsteoarthritisKneeThe purpose of this research is to study how well the adductor canal pain catheters works after a total knee arthroplasty or replacement of the knee joint. The catheter works by using either an intermittent bolus injection to provide a large dose of medication or continuous infusion of pain medicine, ropivacaine 0.2%, compared to a single-shot adductor canal block.
The Effect of Exercise Combination on Pain, Function and Proprioception in Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee OsteoarthritisThis study will include 3 different groups of intervention. First group of knee osteoarthritis patients will be applied both strengthening and 30 minutes bicycle exercises in the same session, 2 days strecthing exercises and 30 minutes walking will be given in seperate days as home program, Second group of knee osteoarthritis patients will be applied both stretching and 30 minutes bicycle exercises in the same session, strengthening exercises and 30 minutes walking will be given in seperate days as home program.Third group of knee osteoarthritis patients will be applied all stretching, strengthening and 30 minutes bicycle exercises in the same session, only 30 minutes walking will be given as home program. The primary outcome measures include the pain, function and the secondary outcome measures include the joint proprioception. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects on outcome measures increasing number of exercises in one session and to determine which exercise types are more suitable to prescribe as a home program.

OsteoarthritisKnee1 moreThe main objective of the study is to compare the effects of Blood flow Restriction training vs. traditional exercises on knee pain , knee functional disability and on quadriceps strength in patient with knee osteoarthritis.
Comparison of Soft Tissue Techniques on Hamstring Flexibility Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee OsteoarthritisThe aim of this research is to compare the effects of Graston Technique, active release technique and PNF stretching on hamstring flexibility in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis. Randomized controlled trials done at Riphah International University, Islamabad.. The sample size was 45. The subjects were divided in three groups, 15 subjects in Graston Technique group, 15 subjects in active release technique group and 15 in PNF stretching group. Study duration was of 6 months. Sampling technique applied was non probability purposive sampling technique. Male and female patients greater than 30 years of age, with unilateral or bilateral OA of grade 1 and 2 in Kellegren and Lawrence criteria for knee OA, having UL/BL hamstring tightness, Pain > 3 on NPRS, ROM > 200 from AKE test were included.
