Knee OsteoarthritisTotal Knee Arthroplasty1 more

The purpose of the study is to acquire kinematic in vivo fluoroscopy data from subjects who were implanted with Stryker Posterior Cruciate Retaining (PCR) , Stryker Posterior Stabilized (PS), Zimmer PCR, and Zimmer PS Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKAs). Our lab has previously collected data for the Smith & Nephew PCR, bi-cruciate retaining (BCR), and bi-cruciate stabilized (BCS) TKA.

Study on the Rehabilitation Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis Based on ICF

Knee Osteoarthritis

To solve the existing Knee osteoarthritis;KOA) clinical norms and guidelines have low operability, Disconnection between treatment plan and specific evaluation results, difficulty in achieving individualized intervention and other problems, on the one hand, we need to develop Chinese expert consensus or clinical path based on evidence-based medicine to adapt to China's national conditions, on the other hand, is more important in The KOA clinical process introduces a set of tools to translate evidence-based medicine evidence into specific, actionable treatments, Thus, a more flexible, more comprehensive and three-dimensional, adaptable, targeted, more conducive to the promotion of the individual integration KOA rehabilitation intervention program.

Synovial Fluid Biomarkers Pre and Post Hymovis Knee Injection

Knee Osteoarthritis

This NJH Investigator Initiated Study funded by Fidia will prospectively perform 2 ultrasound (US) guided knee aspirations in patients with knee osteoarthritis using a pneumatic compressive device (KneeTap ™) at baseline and at 3 months following 2 Hymovis® injections. Synovial fluid catabolic and anabolic proteins will be compared to those values in the peripheral blood and correlated with clinical outcome measurements at 3 ,6 and 12 months compared to baseline values; WOMAC, SF 36, visual analog pain scale, 6 minute walking distance and SF volumes quantitated by US.

Measurement of Gait Spatio-Temporal Characteristics in Knee Osteoarthritis Patients

Knee Osteoarthritis

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the gait spatio-temporal parameters of patients with degenerative changes in the knee joint and to relate them with 2 questionares (WOMAC and SF-36).

Single Cutting Guides System for the Installation of a Total Knee Replacement

Knee Osteoarthritis

The knee prosthesis is a validated treatment for end-stage of knee osteoarthritis, and this intervention usually provides a significant improvement in the quality of life of patients. However, a significant percentage of patients (up to 30%) are disappointed with the outcome of the intervention. One hypothesis that could explain these poor results might be the poor positioning of implants. Individual cutting guides are produced after a CT scan response planning carried out according to the CT scan anatomy of each patient, and subsequently adapted to its real anatomy during surgery, thus theoretically better accuracy of the implementation over conventional techniques. It has been shown in the past that the navigation has been the gold standard in measuring the three-dimensional orientation of the implants during surgery, and this system is systematically used in the service for over 10 years.

The Assessment of Postoperative Recovery in Elder Diabetic Patients

AnesthesiaKnee Osteoarthritis

Total Knee Replacement (TKR) performed under general anesthesia is a common successful orthopedic procedure. Nonetheless, in elder patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) this procedure can present unique challenges to orthopedic surgeon and anesthesiologist alike. Many diabetic patients have clinical or subclinical neuropathy. Although there is no evidence that the neuropathy is exacerbated by neural blockade, recent studies have suggested that the peripheral nerves in diabetic patients may be more susceptible to trauma and local anaesthetic toxicity. Therefore, The investigators observe peripheral nerve blocks with ropivacaine on diabetic patients or non-diabetic patients undergoing TKR by assessing the management of intraoperation and the Postoperative Recovery and complications.

Knee Arthroplasty Registry

OsteoarthritisKnee

Objective Describe the clinical and demographic characteristics of patients who undergo knee arthroplasty and document post operative outcomes. Examine the relationship between processes of care, hospital and surgeon associated outcomes. Provide expanded data to characterize existing and evolving practice patterns, delivery of care, and resource utilization in the management of knee arthroplasty patients. Analyze and design ancillary studies to address unanswered questions. Disseminate findings through publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Fluoroscopic Analysis of PFC CR 150 Versus Standard PFC CR Total Knee Arthroplasty Implants in Deep...

Knee Osteoarthritis

The investigators are comparing the range of movements the knees of patients who had total knee replacement surgery for knee osteoarthritis. In the study arm, the implant used was a Sigma Cruciate Retaining (CR) Press Fit Condylar (PFC) 150, which is a high flexion knee system designed to combine function with wear resistance. It can accommodate up to 150 degrees of knee flexion. In the cohort arm, the implant used was the standard Sigma CR which can accommodate up to 120 degrees of flexion.
