Total hip replacement is a common procedure for the treatment of osteoarthrosis of the hips, the aims of this study are to determine the effect of implant stem design on bone quality surrounding the implant using three stem designs that are routinely implanted at this hospital.

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the accuracy of the femoral implant placement utilizing the VISIONAIRE Femoral Alignment Guide in Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (BHR) surgery postoperatively after total hip resurfacing using the BHR System.

This retrospective study will review the Anderson Orthopaedic Institute's initial experience among a consecutive series of 126 patients who had primary total hip arthroplasty using a metal-on-metal articulation consisting of a DePuy Pinnacle cup with an Ultamet liner coupled with a 36-mm cobalt-chrome alloy femoral head. The relationship between metal ion levels, cup orientation, osteolysis, radiographic implant stability and clinical outcome measures including component revision, complications, patient satisfaction and Harris Hip Scores will be evaluated.

The purpose of this study is to determine if there is a difference in terms of length of hospital stay and post-operative outcomes between patients whose total hip replacement surgery is performed with a minimally invasive versus standard surgical approach.

It was previously proved an association of TGF-β1 and PDGF-BB with the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA) by experiments of OA animal models. In this study, we aimed to determine whether serum concentrations of TGF-β1, PDGF-BB and CTX-1 were related to the knee OA. knee OA cases were collected from the first affiliated hospital of Shihezi university and healthy controls were recruited from the community. The severity of knee OA was defined as kellgren-lawrence (K-L) classification criteria.Serum levels of chemical biomarkers were compared between knee OA cases and controls or among K-L grade 2 to grade 4 groups. The serum concentrations of the TGF-β1, PDGF-BB and CTX-1 were determined by ELISA .
