Outcomes of Robotic Total Hip Arthroplasty
OsteoarthritisThe objectives of this study are to evaluate the clinical value of robotic-assisted total hip arthroplasty with respect to acetabular cup implantation, and to document the long-term clinical outcome of patients with Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA). IRB approval will be obtained at every study site to evaluate the basic clinical outcomes and post-operative component placement accuracy of each MAKO® THA patient. The hypothesis is that robotic preparation of the acetabulum will significantly reduce the variability and inaccuracy in the component alignment parameters that lead to post-operative complications, including implant failure.
Ligament Reconstruction in an Accelerated Rehabilitation Protocol
OsteoarthritisThe investigators have found that their patients who get earlier rehabilitation following ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition (LRTI) surgery with interference screws have experienced better outcomes. The investigators hypothesis is that when formally comparing these patients who are exposed to the rehabilitation protocol earlier compared to later, the investigators will see statistically better outcomes.
Fixed Bearing Versus Mobile Bearing Patient Satisfaction and Clinical Outcome Study
OsteoarthritisThe purpose of this study is to determine if there is a patient satisfaction preference of Fixed Bearing versus Mobile Bearing Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty (UKA) in patients who are at a minimum two years post operative. Patient reported outcomes and expectations will be analyzed along with all retrospective chart data in patient with a Fixed Bearing or a Mobile Bearing UKA in one or both knees.
Excia T Cementless EBRA Study
ArthritisDegenerative4 moreIn this Post Market Clinical Follow-up Study (PMCF Study), the short-term clinical and radiological results of the cementless Excia T® prosthesis in routine clinical use shall be assessed and the migration taking place in the first 24 months evaluated.
Retrospective Study on Cenos Stem With BoneMaster HA
OsteoarthritisRetrospective data collection of the CENOS implant comparing with and without BoneMaster HA coatings.
Univation XM France
OsteoarthritisKnee3 moreThe study is set up due to regulatory purposes and to collect routine clinical data of the mobile-bearing implant univation XM. The study is designed as a prospective follow-up study with a historic patient cohort who have been treated with the product under investigation two years ago. This design is selected to quicker realize follow-up data as patients have already been treated in the past. As the mobile version of the implant is not widely used, the study will be set up as a monocentric study in France. The clinical hypothesis of the study is that patients who are treated with the product under investigation have a similar outcome and survival rate in comparison to other established unicondylar knee systems on the market. Comparison for the later evaluation will be taken out of recent orthopaedic registries.
Bilateral Total Knee Arthroplasty vs Unicompartment Arthroplasty Retrospective and Clinical Outcome...
OsteoarthritisTo determine if there is a patient satisfaction preference of Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) vs Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty (UKA) in patients with bilateral knee osteoarthritis who underwent a primary TKA one side and a primary UKA on the opposite side and are at a minimum of two years post-surgery. Patient reported outcomes and data with be analyzed along with all retrospective chart data.
Effect of Cutting Blades for Total Knee Arthroplasty on Implant Migration
OsteoarthritisThere have been considerable efforts to control rising health care costs. One of the more recent developments is the practice of reprocessing single use medical devices. This practice has been shown to provide considerable savings for health care payers. Medical devices have been reprocessed in a number of different medical fields including Orthopaedic Surgery. One of the devices that has been reprocessed are the Precision Saw Blades from Stryker Inc. These saw blades are used during Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) surgery. The reprocessed Precision saw blades are Health Canada approved and are available at Capital Health. Beyond the benefits to the environment and cost savings, the investigators do not know if the reprocessed saw blades work better, work worse or the same as non reprocessed saw blades. This study is designed to determine if the reprocessed saw blades used during a TKA work as well as a new saw blade.
A Focused Registry to Document the Use of the Short- or Long-stemmed Radial Head Prosthesis (RHP)...
Fracture of the Radial Head Which is Not Amendable to an Adequate OsteosynthesisPost-traumatic Deformity or Arthroses2 moreThe purpose of this focused registry is to evaluate the clinical implications of the RHP position (relative to the articulations) regarding functional and radiographic parameters in patients treated with the RHP with a straight and curved stem.
Safety and Effectiveness of the Tornier Simpliciti™ Shoulder System in Shoulder Arthroplasty
Shoulder OsteoarthritisThe aim of this observationnal post-marketing study is to provide additional information on the safety and effectiveness of Simpliciti™ system at 24 months post-shoulder arthroplasty , in usual surgical practice.
