Evaluation of the Use of an E-health Therapeutic Education Application for Osteoarthritis Patients...
Osteo Arthritis KneeOsteoarthritis is the most common joint disease affecting the joint in a comprehensive and progressive manner. It leads to increasing disability. The recommendations of recent years favor the non-pharmacological treatment of osteoarthritis including regular physical activity, therapeutic education and weight loss Osteoarthritis population has a low level of physical activity due to a lack of information, motivation and false beliefs related to physical activity and kinesiophobia (fear of movement) A preliminary qualitative study (ARTHe1) evaluating the barriers and levers of the use of an e-health therapeutic education application in patients with osteoarthritis was carried out in order to guide the development of the ARTHe application. The objective of this study is to have the application tested on a panel of patients in order to assess the benefits of using the application in terms of adherence to the practice of physical activity but also in clinical terms on function and pain, and the satisfaction of the patient

A Reliability and Validity Study of Urdu Version of Western Ontario And MacMaster Osteoarthritis...
Knee OsteoarthritisThe aim of the study is to translate and culturally adapt Western Ontario And MacMaster Osteoarthritis Index into Urdu language and to investigate its reliability and validity Pakistani population with primary knee osteoarthritis while assessing its correlation with Lequesne Index.
Diagnostic Accuracy of Dual-energy CT
OsteoarthritisHand Osteoarthritis7 moreThe study will include 20 people with hand OA awaiting surgery in the fingers. Participants will undergo dual-energy CT, cone-beam CT, ultrasound, clinical examination, blood sampling and questionnaires. Images will be analysed for the presence of joint-associated crystal including monosodium urate, calcium pyrophosphate and calcium hydroxyapatite. Material obtained during surgery will be used for crystal verification and calculation of diagnostic accuracy of dual-energy CT and cone-beam CT.
Temporal Activation of Core Muscles and Vasti in Isolated Patellofemoral Osteoarthritis
Chondromalacia PatellaeObjective: To compare the temporal muscle activation between females with PF OA and normal controls during stair ascent. Methods: An observational comparative study was conducted with thirty-one females with PF OA and 11 healthy ones. The onset times of multifidus, transversus abdominus (TrA), gluteus medius (GM), and vasti muscles were measured by quantitative Electromyography during stair ascent task. hypothesis: Investigators hypothesized that there won't be a significant difference between females with PF OA and their matched healthy group regarding the onset times of vastus medialis obliqus (VMO), vastus lateralis (VL), gluteus medius (GM), multifidus, and transversus abdominus (TrA), during stair ascent task.
Radiostereometry in Knee Arthroplasty
Knee OsteoarthritisKnee Arthropathy1 moreThe innovative aspect of this research is the possibility of combining the data collected with radiostereometric model based Radiostereometry with the data collected through the Galeazzi Institute Registry. This opens the prospect of an earlier identification of patients undergoing prosthetic knee replacement with initial aseptic loosening.
Study of the Laboratory-based Evaluation of the Degrees of Activity of Osteoarthritis
OsteoarthritisThis study evaluates laboratory-based method to estimate the degrees of activity of medium and large joint osteoarthritis.

Stated-Preferences in Knee Arthroplasty
ArthritisKnee Osteoarthritis1 moreThe primary objectives of this study are to apply best-practice stated-preference methods to quantify patient preferences for benefit-risk tradeoffs associated with arthroplasty treatment options for end-stage osteoarthritis of the knee. Duke will develop and administer stated-preference surveys to adult patients (Ages 40-80) with knee pain to collect preference data, estimate the relative importance of treatment features and outcomes, and estimate maximum acceptable risks for given benefits and minimum acceptable benefits for given harms. This study proposal describes plans for the patient stated-preference survey.
Can 3D Kinematic Parameters Assess the Symptomatic and Functional Severity of KOA?
Osteoarthritis,KneeThere is little study focusing on kinematic parameters in the assessment of the symptomatic and functional severity of knee osteoarthritis (KOA). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the correlations between kinematic parameters and the severity of symptoms and functions in patients with KOA.
