Combination Chemotherapy and Surgery in Treating Patients With Newly Diagnosed Metastatic Osteosarcoma...
SarcomaRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug or combining chemotherapy with surgery may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy and surgery in treating patients who have newly diagnosed metastatic osteosarcoma.
17-N-Allylamino-17-Demethoxygeldanamycin in Treating Patients With Advanced Epithelial Cancer, Malignant...
AIDS-related Peripheral/Systemic LymphomaAIDS-related Primary CNS Lymphoma52 moreDrugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin in treating patients with advanced epithelial cancer, malignant lymphoma, or sarcoma
Chemotherapy With or Without Trastuzumab in Treating Patients With Metastatic Osteosarcoma
Metastatic OsteosarcomaDrugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as trastuzumab can locate tumor cells and kill them without harming normal cells. Combining monoclonal antibody therapy with chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of chemotherapy with or without trastuzumab in treating patients who have metastatic osteosarcoma
Flavopiridol in Treating Children With Relapsed or Refractory Solid Tumors or Lymphomas
Recurrent Childhood Brain Stem GliomaRecurrent Childhood Cerebellar Astrocytoma21 moreDrugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of flavopiridol in treating children who have relapsed or refractory solid tumors or lymphoma.
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy on Osteoblast-Like Cells In- Vitro Study
OsteosarcomaThe idea of treating different deformities or diseases in the maxillofacial region with Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) has recently become popular. It has been widely used in medical practice for the management of urolithiasis, cholelithiasis and in haead and neck region for sialolithiasis. The present study 'Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy on Osteoblast-Like Cells In-vitro study' will be done to explore and evaluate the effect of shockwaves. Further, Osteoblast-like cells will be assessed for Cell - Cell interaction and Cell Viability. It will be assessed using a scratch assay, Mtt assay and ATP analysis.
Insights Into Participating in Studies for Bone Cancer
Bone CancerClinical studies, with a distinct focus on bone cancer, play a crucial role in evaluating the safety and effectiveness of novel treatments for this disease. These trials serve as instrumental means to determine whether new medications surpass conventional therapies, providing substantial evidence for their broader adoption. The primary objective is to meticulously scrutinize trial completion rates and voluntary withdrawals within this specific patient group.
Nivolumab With or Without Ipilimumab in Treating Patients With Metastatic Sarcoma That Cannot Be...
Locally Advanced Bone SarcomaLocally Advanced Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma19 moreThis randomized phase II trial studies how well nivolumab with or without ipilimumab works in treating patients with sarcoma that has spread from the primary site to other parts of the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether nivolumab works better with or without ipilimumab in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable sarcoma.
Glembatumumab Vedotin in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Refractory Osteosarcoma
Recurrent OsteosarcomaThis phase II trial studies how well glembatumumab vedotin works in treating patients with osteosarcoma that has come back (recurrent) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Monoclonal antibodies, such as glembatumumab vedotin, may find tumor cells and help kill them.
Pazopanib Hydrochloride and Topotecan Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Metastatic Soft Tissue...
Adult LiposarcomaMetastatic Liposarcoma5 moreThe purpose of this clinical research study is to learn if pazopanib when given in combination with topotecan can help to control sarcomas. The safety of this drug combination will also be studied. Pazopanib hydrochloride and topotecan hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
Study to Find a Safe Dose and Show Early Clinical Activity of Weekly Nab-paclitaxel in Pediatric...
NeuroblastomaRhabdomyosarcoma28 moreThe purpose of this study is to find the safe dose of nab-paclitaxel in children with solid tumors, and to see if it works to treat these solid tumors in children and young adults (in Phase 1 ≤ 18 years old and in Phase 2 ≤ 24 years old). After the final dose has been chosen, patients will be enrolled according to the specific solid tumor type, (neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, or Ewing's sarcoma), to see how nab-paclitaxel works in treating these tumors.
