Experience in Borderline Ovarian Tumors

Borderline Ovarian Tumor

Borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) comprise 15-20% of primary ovarian neoplasms and represent an independent disease entity among epithelial ovarian cancers. The present study aimed to report the 8-year experience of a single center on the management and outcomes of consecutive BOTs patients. From January 2010 to December 2017, all patients with BOTs undergoing surgical treatment were included. Demographic, clinical, and pathological data were reviewed retrospectively.

PRO for Fighting FT in Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian Cancer

Non-profit, multicenter, prospective, observational study. This study aims to evaluate whether the articulated treatment algorithm that is now possible for OC patients does produce tangible changes of financial distress over the time and whether the determinants of financial distress change their relative weight over the time.

Circulating Tumor DNA Monitoring in Platinum-resistant Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian Cancer

This observational study is conducted to assess the utility of circulating tumor DNA in monitoring the response to pegylated liposomal doxorubicin in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, and evaluate the consistency of circulating tumor DNA with imaging and CA125 in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.

Olaparib for Patients With Recurrent BRCA Deficient Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian CancerPeritoneal Cancer1 more

This research study is a way of gaining new knowledge about a drug called olaparib in women who have either: 1)never received a PARP inhibitor before to treat ovarian cancer (group 1) or 2)participants who have received a PARP inhibitor before to treat ovarian cancer, with the exception of olaparib (group 2). PARP inhibitors are drugs tht prevent cancer cells from repairing their DNA. In this research study, we are looking to see how well the drug olaparib works in women who have never received a PARP inhibitor for recurrent ovarian cancer as well as those who have received a prior PARP inhibitor and whose cancer has re-grown after receiving that PARP inhibitor.

Predictors of Ovarian Cancer and Endometrial Cancer for Artificial-Intelligence-Based Screening...

Ovarian CancerEndometrial Cancer1 more

The goal of this observational study is to explore the possible associated factors of ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer in Indonesia and develop screening tools that could predict the risk of both types of cancer The specific objectives of the study are Elaborating the situation of ovarian and endometrial cancer in Indonesia Exploring the possible clinical, demography and laboratory predictors of these diseases Develop artificial-intelligence-based screening tools for both type of cancer based on possible predictors This study will utilize the patient registry diagnosed with ovarian and endometrial cancer. We assumed that several demography, clinical, and laboratory predictors might possess good screening performance with higher sensitivity and specificity (>80%).

Distinction Between Lung Cancer and Gynecological Cancers by Canine Scent Detection

Lung CancerBreast Cancer1 more

Previous studies have shown that specially trained sniffer dogs are capable to discriminate breath samples of patients with lung cancer and healthy individuals. So far it is not known whether this differentiation is specific for lung cancer or just identifies any form of (solid) tumor. Therefore, the dog's ability to differentiate between lung cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer is tested.

Ovarian Cancer Individualized Scoring System Scoring System

Ovarian Cancer

This project aims at creating an individualized prognostic model using patient characteristics and disease features to determine disease prognosis using machine learning technology. The model can be used to determine the optimal management plan per patient in priori and highlight risk and timing of disease recurrence.

Photoacoustic Imaging of the Ovary

Ovarian Cancer

The purpose of this study is to develop technology to image the ovaries in order to better evaluate ovarian disease and to study how these experimental imaging techniques might work together or separately to improve our ability to detect ovarian cancer.

Guided Imagery in the Perioperative Period in Gynecologic Oncology Patients

Uterine Cervical NeoplasmsUterine Neoplasms3 more

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of self-administered perioperative guided imagery to reduce perioperative distress in gynecologic oncology patients undergoing surgical management for a presumed cancer diagnosis.

To Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Olaparib Maintenance Monotherapy in the Treatment of Ovarian...

BRCA or HRR+ Mutated Ovarian Cancer Patients

This is a prospective, open-label, single arm, multi-center study to assess the real world clinical effectiveness and safety of olaparib maintenance monotherapy as the capsule formulation (in line with the EU approved prescribing information) and will be conducted in platinum-sensitive relapsed high grade epithelial ovarian cancer patients (including patients with primary peritoneal and / or fallopian tube cancer) who carry germline or somatic BRCA mutations (documented mutation in BRCA1 or BRCA2 that is predicted to be deleterious or suspected deleterious [known or predicted to be detrimental/lead to loss of function]).
