Aggressive Intravenous Hydration With Lactated Ringer's Solution for Prevention of Post-ESWL Pancreatitis...
PancreatitisChronic1 moreThe goal of this clinical trial is to clarify whether aggressive intravenous hydration with lactated Ringer's solution could reduce the incidence of post-ESWL pancreatitis in patients with chronic pancreatitis.
ERCP-induced and Non-ERCP Induced Acute Pancreatitis: Two Distinct Clinical and Immunological Entities?...
Post-ERCP Acute PancreatitisPost endoscopic pancreatitis (PEP) has different initial immunologic response to primary injury compared to acute pancreatitis of other etiology (non-PEP AP). The purpose of this study is to compare initial immunologic response, 24 h after primary injury, in patients with PEP and patients with acute pancreatitis of other etiology.
Blood Markers of Early Pancreas Cancer
Diabetes MellitusType 25 moreIdentifying biomarkers of early pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) could facilitate screening for individuals at higher than average risk and expedite the diagnosis in individuals with symptoms and substantially improve an individual's chance of surviving the disease. The investigators propose a longitudinal study of subjects at higher than average risk of PDAC in order to generate clinical data and bank serial blood specimens.
Registry of Subjects at Risk of Pancreatic Cancer
Familial Pancreatic CancerBRCA1 Mutation5 moreIRFARPC is a multicenter national registry designed to study the diagnosis and predisposing factors of subjects with an inherited increased risk for pancreatic cancer.
Artificial Intelligence-based Early Screening of Pancreatic Cancer and High Risk Tracing (ESPRIT-AI)...
Pancreatic CancerDiabetes4 morePancreatic cancer is one of the most fatal malignancies with a 5-year survival rate of only ~6%[1]. The reasons for this high mortality rate can be attributed to several factors, of which perhaps the most important is delayed diagnosis due to vague symptoms and consequently missed opportunities for surgical resection. Therefore, the ability to detect pancreatic cancer at an early, more curable stage is urgently needed. Identifying risk factors and biomarkers of early pancreatic cancer could facilitate screening for individuals at higher than average risk and expedite the diagnosis in individuals with symptoms and substantially improve an individual's chance of surviving the disease. Thus, the investigators propose this longitudinal study entitled, "Artificial Intelligence-based Early Screening of Pancreatic Cancer and High Risk Tracing (ESPRIT-AI)" in order to generate clinical data sets and bank serial blood specimens of high risk individuals.
Diabetes RElated to Acute Pancreatitis and Its Mechanisms
Acute PancreatitisThe overriding objective of DREAM is to conduct a prospective longitudinal (36 months) observational clinical study to investigate the incidence, etiology, and pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus (DM) following acute pancreatitis (AP).
Fibro-inflammatory Progression From Acute to Chronic Pancreatitis
PancreatitisAcute Pancreatitis4 moreObservational prospective study evaluating the developement of chronic pancreatitis based on imaging modalities as well as biochemical markers of inflammation, fibrosis and oxidative stress.
Evaluation of OGTT in Patients With Post-pancreatitis Diabetes Mellitus for Diagnosis and Characterization...
Chronic PancreatitisPancreatogenic Type 3C Diabetes Mellitus2 moreTo evaluate the islet function and insulin secretion pattern of post-pancreatitis diabetes mellitus by oral glucose tolerance testing, and to explore the pathophysiological characteristics of PPDM-C which provide evidence for the diagnosis of PPDM-C.
Prognostic Value of Different Nutritional Screening Tools in Acute Pancreatitis
Acute PancreatitisMalnutritionThe goal of this observational study is to compare the prognostic value of different nutritional screening tools to predict the course of acute pancreatitis. The main questions it aims to answer are: Which nutritional screening tool performs best to predict length of hospital stay? Which nutritional screening tool performs best to predict clinical outcome (disease severity, length of hospital stay, mortality, need for rehospitalization)? Participants will answer questions regarding their nutritional status and undergo basic anthropometric assessments (e.g. measurement of waist circumference) to evaluate their risk of malnutrition.
