Is Endothelial Function a Predictor of Successful Ablation Therapy Provided to Patients With Atrial...

Atrial Fibrillation

The purpose of this study is to assess whether normal endothelial function in patients with Atrial Fibrillation undergoing ablation procedure increases the chances of a favorable clinical outcome and maintaining sinus rhythm following ablation

A Study to Determine the Feasibility of Wireless Electrocardiography

Atrial FibrillationPremature Atrial and Ventricular Beats2 more

The investigators are conducting a prospective, observational study to examine the ECG waveforms captured by the new medical device as compared to a traditional Holter monitor for subsequent use in visual diagnoses of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias as well as cardiac impulse and/or conduction disorders by qualified clinicians. The hypothesis is that this new medical device prototype is non-inferior to traditional Holter monitoring for capturing ECG waveforms that can be visually assessed for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias as well as disorders of cardiac impulse formation and/or conduction.

CCC Project - Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial Fibrillation

The purpose of this study is to develop and implement quality improvement programs for the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF) in China based on the successful experience of the AHA-Get with the Guidelines program. This program will use data collection, analysis, feedback, and process improvement to extend the use of evidence-based guidelines throughout the healthcare system and improve patient care of atrial fibrillation.

Plasma Modifications Associated With Rivaroxaban® Treatment for Stroke Prevention

Atrial Fibrillation

The main objective of this pilot study is to investigate the protein / peptide plasma profiles before and after treatment with a direct anti-Xa (activated Factor 10) in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation to better understand the mechanisms of action of these molecules and perform exploratory analyses concerning proteins whose concentrations change after starting treatment.

Respiratory Motion Related Ablation Gap and Clinical Outcome After Catheter Ablation for Atrial...

Atrial Fibrillation

This is the evaluation which is associated with apnea symptom, one of the recurrence factors, after AF ablation to patients who diagnosed AF. This is the evaluation which is associated with excessive respiration exercise during AF ablation to patients who diagnosed AF. This is the evaluation which is associated with excessive respiration exercise to make a gap during AF ablation to patients who diagnosed AF.

Risk Profile for Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial Fibrillation

The objective of this study is to assess the risk profile in patients with atrial fibrillation, which represents the degree of changes (remodeling) in the atrial tissue and which can help to predict in which patients rhythm control will be successful. This risk profile will consist of a combination of underlying (heart) disease and risk factors, as measured with use of parameters obtained with echocardiography, circulating biomarkers and other relevant clinical data. Ultimately this risk profile can be used to guide type of (rhythm) control therapy in individual patients with atrial fibrillation.

First Arrhythmia Collection of Transvenous and Simultaneous Subcutaneous Implantable Defibrillator...

Ventricular TachycardiaVentricular Fibrillation1 more

The purpose of this clinical study is to collect simultaneous, multiple view cardiac signals representing both transvenous ICDs (T-ICD) and sensing vectors from the subcutaneous implantable defibrillator system (S-ICD). Upon completion, this data will represent the first true database capable of comparing detection characteristics of transvenous and subcutaneous ICDs. Future protocols will be created to dictate the specific methods of such comparisons.

Prevalence of Primary Aldosteronism in Hypertensive Patients Presenting With Atrial Flutter or Fibrillation...

Atrial FibrillationAtrial Flutter1 more

Primary objective of the PAPPHY Study is to establish the prevalence of primary aldosteronism (PA) in consecutive hypertensive patients referred for 'lone' paroxysmal, persistent or permanent atrial flutter or fibrillation (AFF). Design: cohort multicenter prospective study. State-of-the-art criteria and guidelines were followed for case detection and management of both PA and of AF in all enrolled patients (Funder J. J Clin Endocrinol Metab 2008 and 2016; Kirchhof P. Eur Heart J 2011 and 2016).

Satisfaction/Quality of Life With Rivaroxaban in SPAF (Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation)...

Atrial Fibrillation

National, multicenter, prospective, observational, non-interventional study. The objective is to determine if the switch from Vitamin K antagonists (VKA) to Xarelto in subjects treated with VKA with issues for stroke prevention in non valvular atrial fibrillation is associated with an improvement of the treatment satisfaction after 3 months. The treatment satisfaction will be measured by the Anti Clot Treatment Scale (ACTS) score.

Registry on WATCHMAN Outcomes in Real-Life Utilization WASP Registry

Atrial Fibrillation

This is an observational, prospective, non-randomized, multicenter study with the following objectives: (1) to compile real-world clinical outcomes data for WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure Technology in patients who are implanted with the WATCHMAN device in a commercial clinical setting and (2) to collect health care usage data that may be needed for reimbursement of WATCHMAN technology in certain countries.
