Observe the Safety and Effectiveness of the WATCHMAN FLX™ for Subjects in Hong Kong
Non-valvular Atrial FibrillationThe primary objective of this study is to observe the safety and effectiveness of the WATCHMAN FLX™ Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) Device for subjects with non-valvular atrial fibrillation to reduce the risk of stroke in Hong Kong area.
Persistent Atrial Fibrillation Ablation and Correlation to Quality of Life
Atrial FibrillationThe primary objective of this study is to determine the atrial fibrillation burden reduction, or absolute atrial fibrillation burden, associated with improvement in quality of life in patients undergoing ablation of persistent atrial fibrillation.
High Power Short Duration Ablation for Paroxysmal AF With High Density Multi Directional Mapping...
Atrial FibrillationThe LOWE AF HD is a prospective, single-center, non-randomized study to assess safety, efficacy, acute and long-term outcome data of a specific ablation approach as treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
Smart Phone Atrial Fibrillation Application
Atrial FibrillationPatients with atrial fibrillation will have the chance to assess their disease management through an application available for free in Android and IOS smart devices
The Incidence and Predictors of Developing Atrial Fibrillation in Patients With Inferior ST-segment...
Atrial FibrillationIs to analyze the incidence and predictors of developing AF in patients with inferior infarction who undergo PCI with and without atrial and SN branches occlusion
ATRIAL FIBRILATION OPPORTUNISTIC SCREENING AND STROKE (AFOSS).
Atrial FibrillationPeople: The absolute prevalence of undiagnosed atrial fibrillation in individuals over 60 years of age is 2.2%, equivalent to 20.1% of the overall prevalence of AF and there is not sufficient evidence regarding the procedures that may be most effective for achieving an early diagnosis of AF and reducing the associated stroke risks. Intervention: Characterize the ideal population for searching unknown atrial fibrillation and develop an understanding of actions that could be taken today to improve the diagnosis and management of AF. C: Compare two large populations with and without opportunistic screening of AF about stroke incidence. Outcome: MAIN OBJECTIVES Compare two large populations with and without opportunistic screening of AF. Relate the incidence of stroke episode with the AF diagnosis Characterize the ideal population for searching unknown atrial fibrillation by making a multivariate predictor model. Develop an understanding of actions that could be taken today to improve the diagnosis and management of AF. Evaluate whether intervention results in improved outcomes
Assess Safety, Efficacy and Usability of Application for Atrial Fibrillation Vocal Marker
Atrial FibrillationVoice Assist Arrhythmia Monitoring (VAAM) is an application running on smartphones and/or landline phones that performs vocal tests for the monitoring of abnormalities in the heart rhythm.
Screening for Atrial Fibrillation With Prolonged Continuous Single-lead ECG Devices in High-risk...
Atrial FibrillationAtrial fibrillation(AF) can be asymptomatic and thus left unidentified in many people, but holds potential risk of lethal complications such as stroke and congestive heart failure. With different screening strategy, the screening result will be different. The longer the monitoring period is, the higher chances AF episodes can be identified, but with greater cost and lower compliance. Therefore, in this study, the investigators want to find the most cost-effective method for AF screening in high risk population with prolonged continuous single-lead ECG device.
Outcomes of Second Generation Laser Balloon Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation
Atrial FibrillationAtrial Fibrillation Paroxysmal2 moreThe purpose of this study is to collect data on laser ballon (2nd gen) systems for catheter ablation for AF, in order to determine the safety and the efficacy of this technique. Moreover, the investigators aim to determine the short and long term outcomes of pulmonary vein isolation evaluating arrhythmia recurrence, especially using continuous rhythm monitoring with implantable loop recorders (ILR).
Prospective Monitoring of Non-Vitamin K Oral Anticoagulants in Older Adults With Atrial Fibrillation...
Atrial FibrillationFrailty2 moreThe objective of this study is to establish a near-real-time prospective monitoring program in Medicare, Optum and MarketScan Research data to evaluate the benefit of new cardiovascular disease (CVD) drugs for older adults with frailty. Prospective monitoring program seeks to find early effectiveness and safety signals of new drugs by updating the analysis at regular intervals as new Medicare data become available. This study specifically aims to emulate a prospective surveillance of the effectiveness and safety of non-vitamin K oral anticoagulants (NOAC) vs. a comparator, warfarin, in older adults with atrial fibrillation and different frailty status. This program will be enhanced by incorporating a novel claims-based frailty index, which has been shown useful in assessing how the benefits and harms of drug therapy vary by frailty.
