Auricular Acupuncture For The Treatment Of Non-Epileptic Seizures

ConvulsionNon-Epileptic

This feasibility study will determine the tolerability of auricular acupuncture, compliance with self-reported seizure tracking, and the quality of a proposed sham acupuncture protocol to inform the design of a large, multi-center, placebo-controlled, double-blind study to demonstrate the therapeutic effect of auricular acupuncture for the treatment of Non-Epileptic Seizures.

Enteral Levetiracetam For Seizure Control In Pediatric Cerebral Malaria

SeizureEpilepsy1 more

Pediatric cerebral malaria (CM) affects more than 3 million children each year killing ~20% and leaving one third of survivors with long term neurologic and psychiatric sequelae. Seizures occur commonly with CM and are associated with an increased risk of death and neuropsychiatric disabilities. In this Malawi-based, dose- escalation, safety and feasibility study of enteral levetiracetam in pediatric CM, the investigators will lay the groundwork for future efficacy studies aimed at improving seizure control and ultimately decreasing the neurologic morbidity of pediatric CM.

Study to Investigate Lacosamide as Add-on Therapy in Subjects ≥4 Years to <17 Years of Age With...

Epilepsy

Study to evaluate the efficacy of Lacosamide (LCM) administered in addition to 1 to ≤3 other Anti-Epileptic Drugs in subjects with epilepsy ≥4 years to <17 years of age who currently have uncontrolled partial onset seizures.

A Safety, Efficacy and Tolerability Trial of Pregabalin as Add-On Treatment in Pediatric and Adult...

Generalized Tonic Clonic Seizures

The study is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of two doses of pregabalin as add-on treatment in pediatric and adult subjects with Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures as compared to placebo. It is hypothesized that both doses of pregabalin will demonstrated superior efficacy when compared to placebo by reducing PGTC seizure frequency and that pregabalin will be safe and well tolerated.

A Efficacy and Safety Study of Adjunctive Perampanel in Primary Generalized Tonic Clonic Seizures...

Seizure Disorder Generalized Tonic Clonic

This study is designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of perampanel on Primary Generalized Tonic Clonic (PGTC) seizure frequency in adolescents and adults maintained on one to two stable antiepileptic drugs (AED).

Efficacy and Safety of Levetiracetam in Partial Seizures Control, With or Without Secondary Generalization...

EpilepsyPartial Seizures

The purpose of this study is to determine whether levetiracetam as adjunctive therapy is effective in the treatment of partial seizures, with or without secondary generalization, associated with refractory focal epilepsy.

Levetiracetam Versus Topiramate as Adjunctive Therapy to Evaluate Efficacy and Safety in Subjects...

Epilepsy

To assess the long-term effects of levetiracetam on retention rate in subjects with refractory partial onset seizure that are not fully controlled with 1 to 3 concomitant antiepileptic drugs, compared to topiramate as add-on therapy during 52 weeks.

Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetic Study of Pregabalin in Pediatric Patients With Partial...

EpilepsiesPartial

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of multiple doses of pregabalin in pediatric patients with partial onset seizures that are incompletely controlled on their current medications.

A Randomized, Controlled Trial of Ganaxolone in Adult Uncontrolled Partial-Onset Seizures

Partial EpilepsyCatamenial Epilepsy

The study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational drug-ganaxolone - on partial seizure frequency in adults with epilepsy taking a maximum of 3 antiepileptic medications (AEDs). The study will also evaluate the effectiveness of ganaxolone in females with catamenial epilepsy. Catamenial epilepsy refers to a relationship between seizure frequency and a woman's menstrual cycle, where the number of seizures increases around the time of a woman's menstrual cycle.
